Going by facebook, says not insured, so no claim made against it

I guess it will not come up on an insurance database if there was no claim made ?
It has now done 8800 miles somewhere ?
Does the current retailer know the history, if they do are they obliged to inform any potential buyer under sale of good act ?

I guess that any servicing in the Ferrari dealer network would show this up. When I bought my 458 I phoned up the main dealer and asked for its history.

Surely if it has any main dealer servicing they will know its been damaged ?

The accident must have been reported as its a legal requirement to report the accident even if there is no claim. I wonder if this is on a system that HPI have access to ?

A legal requirement to report it to who?

The police? - they don’t put insurance markers on cars.
Insurance company ? - not insured so who you gonna call?

Ghostbusters? - they won’t care either

What legislation makes them legally obliged to? It wasn't subject to a total loss claim from what's being said here.

If dealers have to declare damage how far does it go?

New bumper from car park prang declarable? Scuffed wheels? Rip in a seat?

Sadly there are lots of cars on the road that have been repaired outside of insurance and there is no way for dealers to check 99.9% of the time so it would be impossible to enforce.

Rip in a seat = no
Scuffed wheels = no

My logic, not significant damage that say impacts the road manners of the car.

Damage like this car has seen:

Well I think it’s quite significant even if since been repaired.

Its hit a tree, which has probably broken the safety cell and chassis by the door. You can see the tree bark in the door and a tree that has lost its bark.

That car would have been extremely expensive to repair if it was done properly and I doubt it would have any main dealer servicing as a result - unless it was repaired by Ferrari. In which case it should show up when they are contacted.

Doubtful whether it was reported especially if no one else was involved other than the tree lol.

Most official Ferrari dealers would not retail that car for obvious reasons even if it was repaired in house. Although there was a case some years ago of a car that was badly damaged by a test drive customer and repaired subsequently sold by the dealer with warranty and with all repairs declared.

Thats not to say the Ferrari dealer won't have serviced the car but you would probably struggle through data protection to obtain details of any repairs unless the selling dealer willingly discloses all details which is unlikely. May be worth finding out who the previous owner was who could give you some valuable information.
