F355 sticky interior
Discussion
Looking to properly refresh the interior as after every detailed cleaning it goes back to looking sticky and old in a few weeks.
https://stickynomore.com/ seems to be all the craze but based in USA, is there any equivalent here?
Also the passenger side airbag cover is peeling - can I just replace it (tried gluing several times and now looks faded) or would it need a new unit?
Thanks

I think StickyNoMore were the first and I used them for my centre console, interior door handles, steering column surround. I should have included the air vents, window switches and hand-brake lever. I was happy to dismantle it all and it helps to send them just the parts to be refurbished, I don't think they are keen on receiving bits of electronics. In particular, the illuminated markers in the HVAC dial knobs are push fit clear plastic inserts and easy to remove if you dont want them to come back black. It's all simple DIY stuff. The centre console comes out in stages, starting with the screw under the ashtray. Cars were much less complex in those days!!
I chose to have the HVAC laminate in Degrees C because I had already changed my temperature/pressure gauges to metric. I sorted out my sticky handbrake which is a bit of a pain to remove with a stitched leather stretchy cover from eBay. Before that, it was rubbing the sticky handle on the side of the seat base and staining the leather.
Otherwise you can entrust to whoever maintains your car and I expect they have done this before. Vital to send the parts on an insured courier service as they are mind-blowingly expensive to replace, even if you can.
You can just wipe the components with a solvent - I use Evo-Stik glue solvent which will remove the sticky rubber but the parts are then essentially unfinished compared to StickyNoMore who paint then in black satin.
My car is pre air-bag, so no experience, sorry.

I did all the sticky plastics both inside and out on my 348 using Halfords Black Plastic Bumper paint and it gives an ideal finish (not soft touch but a permanent fix). Must of cost me about £50-60 to do the entire car.
To remove the sticky goo I used a combination of Sticky Stuff Remover from Halfords and Virosol off eBay.
eg of the finish you can expect...
