All, just wondering if everyone has this in their 488? See pic.

The footwell next to the accelerator pedal almost looks unfinished.. Like the carpet has stopped early or should be tucked behind the metal. I have seen that there is a 'plate' on some cars (maybe the pista).

Has anyone got this in their car / sorted it?

Thanks

It’s just a stainless still plate , still has the protective film on it , just remove it

Beat me to it - my 458 was the same, took me several years to realise!

Brilliant. Thank you. I think the carpet should tuck behind?

Yes, the carpet should go behind the plate which is there to protect it from wear from your right foot. It’s shiny stainless underneath and the protective film should be removed during the PDI. Mine was not…

Got it sorted. Plastic off, shiny plate where it should be. No loose carpet. Thanks all for help. The top screw was a %#€@! to get back in!

I actually don't think I've ever seen a car where someone has removed the film!
