I have excel file of all the 488 options, I only have the 2015 US prices for most things. PM with your email if you want a copy.

I’m about to specify an 812 GTS and have decided to pass on all exterior carbon. I’ve previously shied away from low level carbon, too vulnerable. On my 488 I have the sport sill covers which are a fraction of the price…

Thank you all for your responses.
I have never heard of the sport sill covers are they Ferrari supply or aftermarket?
Thanks

They were a standard factory option…

Looking at spare part prices, the plain black sills are around £480, the carbon are around £4800, per side plus VAT. You really need to like carbon to justify those prices…

Like above the first owner of mine ordered the sports sill cover but in my opinion you also need the carbon side Intake or at least a black wrap to match.

I think you need to go all in with the exterior carbon, or avoid it altogether. A bit here but not there doesn't work in my eyes. The carbon fibre sill cover was £4,080 + VAT in February 2018. So £4,896 in total. If you specced the carbon fibre exterior package you saved about 13% over the cost of each of the items added individually.

Yes, I drew a line at the time with mine (pictured), happy to do without vulnerable carbon low down, liked it higher up in the car, side and rear vents. Engine compartment was a total waste of money. Those sill covers are only available in carbon or plain so having them black is not a separate part, they are just painted black instead of body colour.

I’ve just specc’d my 812GTS with no exterior carbon at all. That really is a case of all or nothing

Built on a budget, no exterior carbon apart from the side vents and the cheaper sports sill covers. Personally think it works well.

our Spider was the same, matt sills, carbon side vents but pretty sure it had a layer on the front splitter too, haven't got a picture for some reason. Great looking car in Blu Corsa

The side vents are the most visible area for exterior carbon treatment, so if you just want to add a little, that is the section to go for. I went all in, apart from the engine cover, which I simply couldn't justify. Of course, it has to be clean for you to appreciate the look...

I just checked my build sheet for my 488GTB back from 2016. Yep - carbon sills were £4896.00 for the pair (not each!)
I had all the external carbon bar the rear under diffuser - just the rear fog lamp surround at £1152 and the engine bay at £4512
Total carbon bill for mine was an eyewatering £37,740 (Exterior £20,112 - interior - 17,628)

On my current F8 I opted for only carbon interior - exterior is Nero Stellato, so I reckoned the carbon would go unnoticed. It don't look too bad after all!
