What's the view on tints on Ferraris?
Discussion
Personally I'd leave well alone but I don't like tinted rear windows on any car - I think it destroys the continuity of the design.
I've noticed some modern two-seater cars have tinted rear side windows. Seems utterly pointless to me as you're not even affording privacy or sun protection to rear passengers at the expense of the car's appearance, as there aren't any!

Here we go - an 812 with tinted rear side windows. WHY? It ruins the visual continuity of the "greenhouse" portion of the car and delivers nothing as a pay-off for this...
From my experience it actually offers some visual privacy and heat protection for the items in the boot and/or stored on the rear storage shelf. The 812 has a very large rear flat glass house which can bring a lot of heat into the vehicle I.e. so an actual real functional benefit for me. However, I think they look totally naff (Halfords) and pathetic when illegally applied to front screens.
Tints are allowed as long as they comply with the LAW.
Whether you like them or not is secondary to the legal status.
They can look great done legally but blatantly and knowingly flaunting the law shows total disregard to anyone else and is selfish and wrong.
It only takes 1 accident, that any person can have at any time, on our heavily congested and unpredictable roads.
Its not about anyone getting on their moral soapbox its about the law.
Drive a ferrari or any supercar with illegal tints and no front number plate and you are playing russian roulette. Not just with your own car and licence at risk but other peoples lives which is far more important than being a poser.
Anyway officer dibble is signing off as I have said my piece on the matter
