Just collected my 2014 458 Spider yesterday.
Have been looking online at info on the infotainment controls which seem pretty unfathomable. Also read stuff about an expensive stereo upgrade that nobody seems to rate highly.
My question is about whether there is a reliable way to bluetooth music to the system from an Android phone. I've seen the Bovee thingy advertised - does it work adequately?
Also, what other embellishments/upgrades are worth looking at?
Thanks in advance and apologies if these are repetitive questions.

The system has bluetooth and often the optional cable in the glovebox for iPod etc...
When I had my 458 it connected easily to my iPhone via bluetooth. I had an old gun iPod in the glovebox for the tunes. You an also upload to the internal hard drive via USB in glovebox.
I love it. I also find it quite tiring. I know that sounds odd, but it’s such an assault on the senses..!
I don’t think that the throttle is too twitchy or the steering too sensitive, which are two things that I’ve heard. I can detect a slight amount of vibration in the wheel (spider) on the really bumpy stuff, but it’s really not an issue in any way, and the car communicates where it is and what it’s doing very well.
I now understand see why they’re sought after...

Congratulations. I've had mine from new in April 14 and will never, ever sell it.My question is about whether there is a reliable way to bluetooth music to the system from an Android phone. I've seen the Bovee thingy advertised - does it work adequately?
I've also been using the Bovee thing since I bought the car and it works perfectly. On startup I sometimes have to unplug and re plug it in to get it to read but that takes no time at all. I'm on iPhone but it should be exactly the same on Android.

458 all day long. F12 is epic but there's something special about the 458 Spider. The turn in, ohh the turn in. I still giggle like a child. Give me a mountain pass and a 458 with the roof down and I'll show you a happy man.
