Anyone replaced their door speakers and if so what with? I have my eye on some Focals and a small amp that will plug and play the Becker head unit (have no need for a new head unit, I just stream my music via bluetooth from my iPhone) but interested to hear how others have got on.

I've used Auto Audio in Park Royal on many occasions. They have done hundreds of supercars and specialise in stealth installations that don't look obvious.

Holy thread resurrection bat man.

Just came across this as the sub-woofer in my 430 is buggered.

Seems to be a great deal of difficulty in getting a 5 1/4" replacement in the uk.

At the moment, looks like I will be going with Scuderia Audio solution, is a reasonable price and looks like a good solution.

Just wondering if the OP got anywhere and what he did.

Halfway there. My doorcards were off to fix squeaky seals so the speakers were dropped straight in with no mods needed. Tweeters were a different story as they were too big so bought some pods from Scuderia Audio to fit and that's as far as I've got. However, the car is going in on 24th to have an Audison amp fitted, cabling and possible sound deadening as well.

Tweeter pods ain't cheap though!

I like Audison, nice kit.

Had a response from Scuderia this afternoon. He offered me the sub woofer upgrade if I took his amp.

I just don’t think I need it, fairly apply outside of the broken sub. Certainly don’t need to spend $2k.

So will just get the sub upgrade kit and keep everything looking standard.

My old 911 is a different story as the whole audio is crap so I think that will be next years project. Saw a demo of a 964 loaded with Audison sounded amazing but probably a bit over the top.

Picked the car up on Sat after a week at John Kleis and extraordinary results, quite surprised at the quality and soundstage of the system. It lacks significant bass on the move but then I knew it would but they've still managed to achieve fantastic results with just two door speakers. If I could find an under seat sub-woofer then I would but I don't want to start putting weird and wonderful speakers in random areas that detract from the originality of the car. Besides, I don't listen to music that much!

Nice. I see you also have the fastest colour hehe

Have just ordered my sub replacement. As long as that doesn’t pop and band I think I will be happy

I sometimes look at it and wish it was red but I like its stealthiness! Let us know how you get on with your sound system?
