How many miles did you Ferrari have on it when you got it?

So, I am a new upcoming buyer and have fell in love with the idea of getting a 458 with as little miles as possible.
I quickly learnt this is not always a good things, for various reasons.
So I ask, how many miles did your Ferrari have when you bought it?
What’s the max miles you would buy a 458 with, as a none millionaire, hardworking 34 year old, obviously conscious of repairs and big bills after the warranty runs out?
For context a 458s monthly finance with a 15% deposit would cost me around 12% on my of monthly income. So I can afford the car, but my last vehicle was a brand new £85k C63s. It’s quite a jump for me. Albeit super exciting, I want to make the right choice.

355 c 30k miles and sold with c 51k miles (2.5 years)
FF c 12k km and now on 82k km (5.5 years)
Scuderia 51k km and now on 71k km (3 years)
Challenge c 12k km, no clue what it is now - probably 1.5k km more (1 year)
I wouldnt worry about mileage on a 458 - modern Ferraris are reliable cars

Quite common on 458s as they are notoriously easy to 'clock'. This is why i'd personally avoid buying one with totally unrealistic very low mileage. Judge the mileage by carefully inspecting the wear on the seats and footwell carpets. Dead giveaway if a car has been 'clocked'.Taffy66 said:

F430, it was absolutely mint, in the period I had it, 11 months, no MOT, no service, so it was easy for them to do with no paper trail of mileage records....I wonder when the day will come that Ferraris become less mileage sensitive like Porsche. I recently sold my Cali which had 40k miles and felt like new, no issues and could probably go on to do >100k without issue but was one of the highest milers out there.
While looking for a 488 there were so many with 9,990 miles... I ended up buying one that had already crossed the 10k barrier of doom so let’s see what happens!
Hey Adam I follow you on FB I'm just up the road in Wakefield if you wanted a chin wag at some point. I have a 458 I got in June last year 17500 miles have done 2500 odd in it and plan on many more this year. I bought from JCT with the 2 year warranty and intend to drive it as much as possible. They are pretty reliable generally just be prepared for a 20 to 30k rinse over 3 years to own it (unless prices go up) worth every penny I think for the experience of owning an F car. I've come to the conclusion that I will probably have mine a long time as there's nothing else out there really that has the drama and excitement of the 458. The newer F cars and Mclarens are quicker but there's something about the 458 I can't see ever being able to part with mine.
Got the impression when I had my 360 ( bought on 18 k FFSH ) main dealers via telematics or some other link send the plug in info back to Marenello? So another off site record at HQ .
I kept it up the F dealer for 9 years and put 22 k on it , sold it with 40 K FFSH .
So even thought they may have clocked a young pre MOT car , if it been in the dealers , highly likely then there will be another record back @ Marenello .
When you trade them back into a F dealer , they stall the appraisal as it takes about 30 mins to run the chassis numbers by Marenello .If the clock does not tally they don’t say why but will not take it in .
Paid £40k sold it 9 y later for £56 .......so free motoring basically.

Mileage is largely irrelevant. History and provenance are everything. My 599 was in a collection for four years so SORN. Having missed those services - even though it had been serviced by main dealers since and had Ferrari warranty, meant 9/10 purchasers wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole. It also had 6 owners.
My 458 has had 3 owners and never missed a service - mileage is double but it’s a far ‘better’ car.
