My wife is 5' 3.75" (the ¾ is important to her!) - how will she find visibility out of a 458 spider with the carbon racing seats? OK, or will I have to get Ferrari to make her a bespoke cushion to sit on....

The challenge with the carbon seats is that, whilst the height of them is adjustable, its a hour+ job with fiddly Allen keys each time you want to change it. If she is going to be the only/main driver, this won't be too much of an issue, if you are both going to drive it equally then it becomes more of a problem.

My wife is 5' 5" so I'd need to change the seat height if she wanted to drive my 458, however she has stated categorically that she never wants to drive it so problem solved for me wink

I tried to resist the obvious pun, if you can’t change the seat... but I failed.

I am truly joking.

nice humour here :-)

Some have adjustable height - 3 positions on a lever I think? But otherwise yes it seems fiddly.

In the compromise, does it work okish, or not? The other option is to get the more standard seats with their adjustability, but we both prefer the looks of the sports seats and I think I'd prefer the feel of the car around me from those......

so she either has very long legs, or finds she can get comfortable, or lets you drive smile

since any of those are good outcomes, many thanks! thumbup

To answer your question more helpfully, on one of the Lambo threads there is a guy who makes cushion inserts that match perfectly the design on your particular seat, with contrasting ‘Y’ inserts, stitching etc, they look a really good match to the original seat. Once I come across it again I shall post the link on this thread. It was to address the same problems with carbon bucket seats. Fortunately for me we both love them and manage to fit in ours.

The seats can be raised by the dealership into a higher fixed position. Lifters are also available.

Fixed positioning even if it can be changed isn't really an option - we'd want to swap a few times a day.....

Does anyone know if the seat lifter can be fitted aftermarket, or does it need to be specified at build?
