488 Deal on the cards - Viewing Checklist

I'd very carefully look at the bodywork for any signs of damage or repair. I had a very unfortunate experience with a main dealer where the bodywork on a 458 Spyder they sold me wasn't repaired to the standard you might have expected from the main dealer. The car was otherwise fantastic, but I sold it after test driving a 488 GTB and falling for it.
You don't say if it's from a main dealer, but I'd be pushing for a warranty extension too, although you still have quite a lot left if it comes with the 7 year warranty and servicing.
It's tough selling 488's at the moment, so push for a deal. It's an underrated car!

2 year warranty and 2 years free servicing left also.

Standard warranty is 3 years which can be extended as a full warranty for another two consecutive years. If the warranty isn't extended, your only choice is the New Power warranty (which isn't worth the paper its written on).
To the OP, make sure that the 2 years used car warranty you're getting is equivalent to the full new car bumper to bumper warranty. Don't let them fob you of with 2 years of New Power warranty which only covers the drivetrain and has more holes in it than a Swiss cheese.

Actually the standard warranty is 4 years from new, you can extend the full factory warranty which basically covers everything for a further 12 months (must be done before end of factory warranty) which I think is c£4K, although the power warranty is what approved used cars will have on reaching age 4. After this, I.e. age 5 onwards, no option other than the New Power warranty which is about £3k per annum.Standard warranty is 3 years which can be extended as a full warranty for another two consecutive years. All new Ferraris come with a three year warranty as standard including your 488, however there was a discounted fourth year warranty you could spec when submitting the order to the factory. A lot take it up as its a fraction of what it costs when you do it after taking ownership of the Ferrari.Taffy66 said:

Hmmm, if 3 years now then definitely changed as just dug out my order/paperwork from 2018 and both the price list and invoice clearly confirm 4 years standard on all uk cars, at no additional cost. Possibly Ferrari Uk made this compulsory to aid residuals and included in the RRP? It’s actually used as a selling point in bold on the 2nd page of the uk price list spiel.garystoybox said:

You're quite correct and i'm not up to speed on new Ferrari warranties it seems. All the Ferraris i've bought have been used and built before 2018 where it was three years. I had my dealer send me the price list for the new F8 a couple of months ago and just checked and it clearly states four year warranty is now standard on all new Ferrarishttps://swindon.ferraridealers.com/en_gb/explore/s...
This is what i read previously which led me to believe it was three years rather than four. Very confusing and contradictory info from ferrari.

I’ve been told by the dealer that they only offer the power warranty on the used car I’m looking at as it’s a 2016, which makes sense from reading Taffys link above.
