360 spider question
Discussion
Hi All, I am toying with getting a 360 spider. It would be red with cream and manual.
This may seem odd but do they have heated seats? I have 2 convertible cars now, one Mini Cooper and the other a boxster, I drive roof down most days unless raining and have the heated seats on most of the time.
It would be a lot of work and obviously non Standard to retro fit heated elements to the seats. I had. A trimmer do this on my Cosworth.

I agree that heated seats in a convertible are great. I have had 2 360s, both without heated seats and 3 F430s; 2 of which had heated seats. The first was ineffectual compared with other makes. The present one is ok. Not sure if 360s had heated seats, but I suspect they were not very effective. This may seem odd but do they have heated seats? Thank you all. Someone once said to me when I was comparing a 993 turbo 911 to a 355 that Ferrari seem to be quite a way behind on their technology...that would make sense if the 360 did not have heated seats but something like a boxster does.
The important bits are there, engine 5 valves per cylinder, titanium con rods. Suspension adjustable with a switch etc. Whilst my daily cars all have elec seats and cruise control, I couldn’t care less about those in my Ferrari and the heater is excellent

I am not bothered about other things like auto lights or auto wipers but I have had a lot of convertibles and always had the heated seats on when driving with roof down unless on a sunny day. I drive my boxster and mini roof down even on frosty mornings.
Maybe I will just try one with the heater on and if it is make or break for me I will talk to some motor trimmers to see what they think.
My Mk1 TT was a better convertible Than the boxster in that you sat lower in the cabin and there was next to no buffeting. My boxster is 100 time better car apart from the fact that you get much more cold wind intrusion and I have the glass panels behind the hoops and the middle.
My point about technology was not elec gizmos, the chap that said it to me was Russ at RSR and he was meaning things like brake technology.

I drive my 360 Spider in the winter, and I live in Switzerland. Roof down unless it's raining is the rule. You sit nice and low (at least with the buckets) and the heating is really good, plus you have a high revving engine just behind you to add to the warmth. Jumper, scarf and warm hat and you're really sorted. Enjoy.

Yes they are not short of heat generated just behind you. I have never known a road car engine bay get as hot as the 360.Gassing Station | Ferrari V8 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
