I enjoyed my test drive in the F8 Tributo coupe and agreed about the engine and its lack of lag and also sound but TBH this review and the mention of the bad scuttle shake and old chassis has put me off the spider somewhat.
It was really apparent in the 458 Spider and seems to have only got worse as the power has gone up in the 488 and now F8 spiders.
Ferrari need to up there game in this area and develop a carbon tub just as in all McLarens as convertibles with this sort of power and performance need it

Ah that comment makes you RamboLambo in disguise, are you wearing a new suit of clothes, carbon ones made by Mclaren I guess It was really apparent in the 458 Spider and seems to have only got worse as the power has gone up in the 488 and now F8 spiders.

I watched the reviews of Car Guys 488 Pista Spyder and road trip, scuttle shake is not a problem at all if you are using the car as intended

Sorry Rambo you’re wrong. Agree the 458 felt wobbly with top up and down. The 488 Spider feels identical to the GTB roof up and exactly as mentioned in the Car Guys you feel it occasionally top down on slow stop/start roads but once winding on the pace feels rock solid. The F8 Spider I’ve driven feels roughly the same as the 488. You make it sound like an old Wobbly jelly Alfa spider, what tosh.Ferrari need to up there game in this area and develop a carbon tub just as in all McLarens as convertibles with this sort of power and performance need it

No need to apologise other than to stop calling me Rambo, WTF ?!I've not driven a F8 spider so I can only go by what others have said and my experience in both 458 and 488. I drive a lot of twisty A and B roads with adverse cambers and in poor condition in a spirited manner and the flex in both was immediately apparent to me compared to any McLaren spider where there is simply no compromise.
My Perf spyder feels pretty solid but scuttle shake is detectable. That said I dont think it effects the driving experience overall and certainly no where near like the Ferrari's where I would say its an issue for me personally.
Ferrari can't keep upping the power and torque and rely on an old chassis in a convertible. A carbon chassis is well overdue IMHO
