Any love for a 328?

Been giving some thought to perhaps buying one of these.

I love the look of them, but don't know anything about them. What should I look out for?

There were a couple of discussions earlier this year which resulted in purchase (albeit I think one ended up with a 308GTB QV)

Depending where you are in UK there are several good independents both for sales and service

I bought a high mileage car from KHPC about 3 years ago and it has been great! I would buy from them again.

If you are under 6 foot you will fit
Had a problem fitting the GTS roof behind my seat and driving, not much room.
Gear stick constantly sticking into your leg to.
Other than that, there a beautiful classic ferrari.

Mechanically very solid if maintained well. Simple enough that any decent mechanic can keep on top of things.

Rust is the killer.

YES YOU SHOULD. Last of the analogue Ferrari's ,Looks stunning from any angle ,

Pre A.B.S dished wheels look so much better.

I considered a 328 but went for a 308 GTB QV. Got the car just before lockdown and have thoroughly enjoyed it ever since. Reasons for the QV are mainly that I prefer the more classic looks, especially the interior. As mentioned above there's plenty on the subject on an earlier thread

How is it the last of the analogue Ferrari's? What about the 355 or the 360 or the 550?

Ye them too but think the 328 has a lot less electrics than they do. .

But the 308 even less so,not a E.C.U in site and on Webber carbs,can't get more analogue than that.

That's a st article from Autocar. A 'lazy state of tune' for the 328? I call it lazy journalism..

No doubt you will gets lots of good advice on here and the buyer's guides are very helpful. As a long term owner of a 328 GTS, if you decide to buy one, suggest you keep away from main dealers, so make sure you have an independent specialist lined up to look after it. The best car I was lucky enough to own, good luck with search.

For later cars, eg the 360, 550, 575 dealers are getting close to Indy's on pricing for maintenance etc. Jayemm has just done a vlog about that.

Then you might be best off with a GTS....
It is lovely car, I've had mine for 21 years and can't think what I would replace it with.
Perfect shape (with non-ABS wheels), fun to drive, simple to maintain and actually very reliable.

I'm 6'5" and fit perfectly in a 308 GTB

I do like a more upright driving position than most probably do though!

You did read the bit were I said I owned a GTS right? Loved the thing to, but being a big guy it was tight and uncomfortable.
The guy is 6ft 3. Not a chance in hell putting that roof behind his seat and driving comfortably. That roof will stay at home, good idea really because he wont fit in it with the roof on either. So its roof off stay off on sunny days only
On a side note and on the other hand, if I had the chance of owning a little 246 Dino. I would grease my self with wale fat and have my self squeezed into it and would swear i I fit

Tom Selleck is 6' 4", and when he made Magnum P.I back in the day, to fit him in the 308 GTS, they had to take the runners off the underside of the driver's seat, bolt the seat directly to the floor, and remove some of the padding from the seat base.

Even with all of that done, his head still sat above the top of the windscreen!
