Anyone know this Cali? Thoughts on spec?
Discussion
So I’m edging closer to Ferrari ownership and have been looking at this one:

Now I know everyone always says “it’s personal taste” and “if you like that’s the most important thing”, and I couldn’t agree more, but being new to this marque I’d appreciate people’s views on this spec and price. Personally I like the black!
Oh, and thoughts welcomed on how useful is, and coverage of the 2yr warranty
Thanks in advance all

Must be one of the last 460 bhp cars before the facelift and upgrade to 490 bhp but looks nice enough and a reasonable price for a Ferrari main dealer.
don't think you can go too far wrong with that
I think compared to 458's these seem real good value to me, as a 458 spider would be twice the price.
I know the 458 fan boys will be on saying the california is the entry model and not an outright sports car but after all its still a N/A V8 fez and a 458 isn't twice as good.
Get it bought as California's at this sort of price are moving quite quickly unlike the same 458's that sit their month after month after month

It’s got the upgrade alloys, nice picking up of the yellow on black theme with calipers, shields and contrast stitching. Decent amount of carbon (although there could be more) in the interior.
Warranty will be good for major things like the gearbox and roof mech. It won’t cover a lot of minor things so be prepared for that.
Since you like it, buy it and enjoy it. The only thing which would make it better in my eyes is if it had more interior carbon as I feel it really lifts the interior even though it’s totally cosmetic and non functional. Oh, and stitched cavallinos on the headrests.

I’ve been looking for a California for a while and this has been on sale since last year. Not sure why though as other similar cars have seemingly sold at higher prices. I’ve never enquired about this car as it’s not the spec I’m looking for so maybe there’s something in its history putting buyers off.

When did it first pop up for sale? If it was in the autumn, then I wouldn’t have expected it to sell. And then we all know what happened in the spring. Did the other similar cars which sold have similar mileage as well? I wonder if the fact that it’s over 20k miles is the off-putting factor. The U.K. market is extremely mileage sensitive - and I can understand that for young cars which people trade after a couple of years of ownership. But for a car which will be getting on for 10 years old if the OP plans to sell, then it’ll be more about condition than anything else. The 2 year warranty is worth a fair bit too (even if it’s not very comprehensive). Unless the car has an accident history, I can’t think of anything which should put the OP off buying it.

It’s been on Autotrader since November 2019 which is about the time I started thinking about a Cali. It was priced fairly when compared to similar cars at the time but seems cheap now. Not sure if that’s due to a normal spring/summer lift, Covid lift or a bit of both. Or neither. Unless the car has an accident history, I can’t think of anything which should put the OP off buying it.
