I am looking for a good independent Ferrari specialist near Bristol any recomendations ?

Not much choice - maybe Bob Houghton - otherwise you really could do worse than talk to Carrs if previous praise is anything to go by - especially if its a modern car that needs access to diagnostics

Dick Lovett Ferrari in Swindon offer very good service in my experience.

Thanks Guys, I will give lovetts a miss as they did a poor job on my 458 but Bob Houghtons sounds likeit might be a place to visit.

had factory f1 cars, a 250gto and and one of the original testarossa's there when I was last in.

Last time I spoke to Bob Houghtons they couldn't service anything past 430 as thery didn't have the SD3. That was over a year ago though and they said they were looking into getting one.
Not their business really modern Ferraris. The classic stuff they do is amazing.

Whilst a main dealer Carrs Ferrari in Exeter tend to be very reasonable on older Ferrari's. They even come and collect my 430 Scuderia which helps keep the mileage down lol
