355 alternator

hi everyone

i need to replace my alternator on my 355 as a bad earth burnt it out, question is..... is the part number the same regardless of what type of 355 you have more in terms of the engine etc....

Mate I have used both 2.7s and 5.2s in mine over the years.
Only last year I changed my mates on his 99 5.2 for a 95 2.7 used unit from eurospares.

Mine had 3 in a year! one that broke, one that was replaced and then the replaced one was refurbished under warranty! They go a lot!

There was an issue which required a recall for a dedicated earth strap which supposedly improved life

Cheers guys, so does that mean you don’t need to worry about getting the wrong one etc I just need to work out whether to buy a refurbed one or a new one
