Anyone know this Scud?
Discussion
Been having a bit of a look at Scuds - anyone know the Amari car?

What are the key options to look at on these? Can you still pop the Ferrari warranty on them at this age?

That’s a nice spec / has the options I would have wanted (mine is missing the role bar, which I would have liked and this doesn’t have the stripes, which I would have preferred)
I let my warranty laps this year as I had a large bill for both exhaust manifolds and the exhaust backbox (which had less than 10k km on it - so I paid for 2 in c 12 months ....), so got very annoyed with the uselessness of the warranty (and the Bill was more than large enough without the additional cost....).
They are great cars. Get them to change the geo to a more sporty setup when you get one.
Eidt: to answer - no don’t know the car and yes warranty until age 15

RHD similar cars are 180, but I'm not that fussed about RHD or LHD, it'd just be for fun and obviously not a main car.
Not sure if 130 is good value or not, seems like a lovely car.
Do you need to watch out for anything on these - rust, wheel bearings etc?
Who would you use to get the car checked over?
What are the running costs like on them? From what I've read they're pretty reliable.

Check the exhausts, the valve bearings go and they can rattle a lot. Its about 2.5-3K per side to replace. Not sure if 130 is good value or not, seems like a lovely car.

They are pretty solid overall, just check brake wear too, the scuds work out the brake wear by using a computer algorythm which is a pain in the backside and not that accurate. To replace and reset you need to get a code from Ferrari. Silly system in my opinion but there you go.
Make sure you have all service books etc.
Hi, i have owned my scud for 10 months.
The best advice i can give you -
At your cost, normally around £300 have the car your interested in inspected by an independent specialist, having someone else inspect the car giving you a clear understanding of the overall mechanical condition is critical in moving forward on negotiating the final selling price of the car
AV Engineering done mine, i would not trust my car with anyone else, great knowledge and professionalism. The guys at AV will help you determine how good or bad the car is, what needs doing at that time and likely repair and maintenance costs moving forward, also most importantly its value in the current market!
if you buy it you'll luv it! Breathtaking car, i cant see me ever selling mine
