Been invited to the launch event for this and am pretty shocked at how Aston Martin it looks. I think Chris Harris is spot on here....will be embarrassing answering all those - “is that the new Aston Martin” questions!! What were Ferrari thinking!?

On the other hand the interior looks very modern so hope the Italians have the tech to go with all the style. Would dread to think what a flat battery would do to all those screens when my 458 would be like a disco inside when it had a slightly flat battery!!

But the car was launched last year hence the Harris video and UK deliveries supposedly won't begin til next year?

I quite like the way it looks - I think quite colour sensitive though

I'll go further and think it looks absolutely stunning..It reminds me of when Porsche launched the 928 to critical acclaim despite the 911 enthusiasts hating it as it dared to be different..I like it so much i just might buy one at some point..I totally agree on it being colour sensitive just like the 928 was..It looks at its best in one of Ferrari's Silvers or Greys..

I don't really understand why anyone would buy this car when a mint F12 is so much cheaper

Why did people buy a 328 GTB/GTS, when a used 308 GTB/GTS was so much cheaper?

Why did people buy a 430, when a used 360 was so much cheaper?

Why did people buy a 575, when a used 550 was so much cheaper?

Why did people buy a 488, when a used 458 was so much cheaper?

Why did people buy an 812 superfast, when an F12 was so much cheaper?

Why would anyone buy a 2020 model, when a 2017 model is so much cheaper?

I actually agree with that and see were your coming from.
It's also called choice, you buy what you like.

Well I bought a 328 then went back to a 308 again, and I bought a manual 575 then went back to a 550. It's all subjective. I think the F12 is a bargain at the moment even if the insane performance is somewhat unusable in most modern road conditions.

Wish I could save a load of money by not buying a 2020 Roma and just getting a 1973 Daytona.

As nice as the Roma looks I would much prefer a 73 Daytona. One of my all time favourite cars. Unfortunately out of my price range at half million plus frown

Some years back I had a choice between buying a new Vantage V8 or a Daytona. I bought the Vantage. Big mistake...

There's a stunning Metallic Blue 1973 RHD Daytona for sale at Dick Lovett Swindon..I had a close look at it last November and despite using my best man maths logic £550k was way beyond my pay grade..Stunning in the metal however probably best left in my dreams as i suspect the driving wouldn't match the looks..Never meet your heroes and all that..!
The Roma is a stunning looking car and a nice departure from Ferrari's recent design language..Biggest dilemma for me would i buy one for the same money as a nice F12.?

The FF and GTC4Lusso are older but orders of magnitude prettier.

Why did people buy a 328 GTB/GTS, when a used 308 GTB/GTS was so much cheaper?

faster, better handling.

Why did people buy a 430, when a used 360 was so much cheaper?

faster, better handling, looks.

Why did people buy a 575, when a used 550 was so much cheaper?

not much in them, I wouldn't have

Why did people buy a 488, when a used 458 was so much cheaper?

lots didn't and lots are buying 458's even though the price difference isn't much more.

Why did people buy an 812 superfast, when an F12 was so much cheaper?

not sure, wouldn't do myself as the performance increase is neglibible. I thought the 812sf rode on the sales of the TDF when they were £900k used.

Why would anyone buy a 2020 model, when a 2017 model is so much cheaper?

usually warranty or to be seen with the latest, not for me though.

Sorry on the face of it, its not the same at all
All these are updated on a platform
What I'm saying is here you can have a better car (what was a fantastic V12) for a fraction the new car

Of course the new one might actually be a better drive but Ferrari haven't ever tried to sell the new car to any of their "long term" customers so who knows what its like

Aw, don’t end the thread. I’d much rather live vicariously through those who have ordered a new Roma than through second hand F12 owners.
