You should not be expecting an absolute high as it depends on too many factors - you MUST expect consistency - I can't work out how to read the chart to figure out any of the numbers

Also if it is low use car it will probably need 'an Italian tune up' to give the best figures

IIRC mine used to be around 145-150 so not far off. They all seem remarkably consistent which is a good thing

Back in 2006 I had a PPI compression test done on an F355 I was looking to buy and the results were:

1. 195 p.s.i
2. 210
3. 205
4. 205
5. 195
6. 205
7. 205
8. 210

The advice I got on FChat was that these were good results, not necessarily because of the numbers themselves (although apparently 220-230 psi was a "new" value) but because they were all grouped tightly together.

I bought the car. It was fab!!

Circa 200 is very healthy, 130 could indicate valve guides needing replacement or other wear.

After a bit of advice gearing the results of a compression test on the engine of a 98 F355 manual I’m looking to buy from a franchised main dealer. The test was carried out today and the result sheet is as the link below. As far as I can make out, it reads 9 bar which is about 130 psi.
I know the internet can be a world of misinformation but from what I’ve found so far that sounds quite low.
Thanks in advance
One thing that's a bit odd is the numbers Renmure quoted would be around 13- 14 bar and the ticket you have doesn't go up that far, perhaps some clarity needed on the result

Thanks all. Out of the blue Steve from Fosker’s called me today about something and he said that anything between 120 and 130 psi is great so it looks like this one I’m interested in is at the top need of the scale, panic over. For now lol

I did a search of my own posts and confirmed what I said was right, just incase I was miss-remebering but what I posted above was accurate in my case.

There are other similar threads on Fchat.

Anyhow... enjoy the car
