Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 on standard 488 - K1 or K2
Discussion
Hi
The PZeros on my 488 GTB will be ready for replacement soon - so I was planning to replace them with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s.
There seem to be two Ferrari fitment versions available:
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 - 245/35 R20 (95Y) XL (K1) TL
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 - 245/35 R20 (95Y) XL (K2) TL
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 - 305/30 R20 (103Y) XL (K1) TL
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 - 305/30 R20 (103Y) XL (K2) TL
Google tells me that the K1 was originally intended for the 458 Speciale, and the K2 for 488 Pista. There doesn't seem to be much in it in terms of price.
What's the difference? Is there any reason not to go for the K2 on a 'standard' 488? I mainly use the car for 'Sunny Sundays' with the occasional European road trip and very occasional track day.
Thanks,
Micky
