I’ve recently sold my Alfa Romeo 4c after three years of absolute joy, what a fantastic little car for the money! I now just have the integrale and have started yearning (again) for my all time dream car, a Ferrari F355. My only worry, aside from buyin a dud, is will it fit into my garage and still leave me enough room for getting in and out of it. The Alfa was incredibly wide for such a small car but I was able to get that parked in such a way as slowed me relatively easy entry and exit, I wonder how an F355 would work though. The Alfa is 1,868m wife and the Ferrari only slightly wider at 1,900m but the doors look a lot wider so I don’t know if it would actually allow enough space to get in.
Does anyone here park their car in a single garage?
Thanks

I have a smallish garage, and a 348 which is similar in dimensions to the 355. The doors are wide, and the curve of the side window would stop me getting out, however if I drop the window there is enough space to allow me to get out reasonably easily, and it can be raised again once out. Needs must smile

Thanks Allan, my garage is 8’ wide inside. I wondered if dropping the windows would help, it made a huge difference with the Alfa but then the switch a nightmare to reach being down on the centre tunnel

Hi
I have a 355 in a single garage ( 3.1M wide ). I've spent the last 7 months refurbishing it so sometimes it's parked off to one side. At the moment the drivers door only has 42cm clearance and I can still get in ( not easily) but possible. The near side has 80 cm clearance and it's easy to get in. So, anything in between these two would work with varying degrees of difficulty. Hope this helps.

Hi Neil, mine is 2.4 m wide so it would be a bit of an effort but I’m fortunate to be quite slim and reasonably flexible lol

Forgot to mention, my garage is 2.5m wide , and I'm not as far over to one side as possible, so your 2.4 should be ok.

You should be fine. My garage is 210cm at the entrance, and inside the minimum distance is 230cm (due to pillars in the structure) but as long as the door doesn't open against a pillar it's 234cm.

I used to park a 348 in there, and now park a 360 in there. It's tight (and I have to fold the drivers mirror in to get in the entrance), but it is possible to get in / out even without winding the window down.

I had a 348 and now 355 in there, entering and exiting is an event but doable

I have actually installed an electronic winch which I used to winch the 348 in, then push the car out

The 355 is a spider and with the windows down isn’t too bad.
