F430 Battery Isolation
Discussion
Often done by many. Just let the engine idle for five minutes the first time you fire up after reconnecting the battery so the ECU can reset/optimise itself.
Note, you'll need to lock the car by key rather than fob before you isolate the battery, or the immobiliser will start beeping. If your switch is in the front boot, you open it using a t-bar cable around knee height in the left hand footwell (as least in my LHD 360) because it's ordinarily opened by an electric switch that will have no power going to it.

Thank you. Very good points about manual locking and bonnet opening!! Note, you'll need to lock the car by key rather than fob before you isolate the battery, or the immobiliser will start beeping. Much appreciated
