Ive just bought an F430 spider on a 57 registration

I want a full service on the car to replace oil/filters/plugs and check ball joints and generally give the car a very thorough once over

I have an excellent mechanic locally who has looked after my R8 v10 and many M cars for years but I dont thinks he will have the specialist experienxe of f430s

Can anyone recommend a reputable and honest specialist......a friend who has a Ferrari has receomended the Super Car centre in Sheffield but sheffield is a little far and I can find very little on this place which would persuade me to use them other than my pal recommending them

Any advice would be most welcomed!

I asked this a couple of years ago and am sure the answer was no, which is surprising.

The only one I know of is Alexander’s Prestige.

Have you spoke to JCT600 ? I have found Craig in service very competitive .....no harm asking. They have done my last 7 services all being very comparable to specialist prices, and a Ferrari stamp to boot !

No help here I know, but one of the major downsides to Ferrari ownership is this very issue, same here in Norfolk, main dealer which is prohibitive even allowing for their competitive desire to compete with the Indies.
You need the right person on these cars without any doubt.
Good luck with everything anyway, Mike

If he’s the guy who owns Italia autosports in Holmfirth my brother used him a few times when he had his F430, never had any issues.

Does anyone have any feedback on this place?

How long has it been going...quality/level of expertise...pricing and reputation in terms of the stamp in the book ?

Brother ubbs had his Gallardo in there a few weeks back for a few jobs, he’s away on holiday at the moment so I’ll get some feedback when he’s back.

Craig left mate. Bit of a falling out. Long story I won't go into here. Shame cos he really looked after me.

Italia Autosport in Meltam do good work, but I found them at the expensive end of the indie scale.

I wouldn't go anywhere near JCT600 - PM me if you want the story.

He was a good lad and really helpful...they've had a bit of a nightmare couple of months at JCT.

Its a real shame he has left, very obliging and always competitive. Dealt with him for 7 years and never had a minutes problem with the service he provided. Hope it works out for him.

I used to deal with The SuperCar Centre as a supplier, very good rep and never heard anything bad.

Also been up to John Pogson at Italia Autosport a few times as a friend has had work done there which was top notch. Also great for just a look round!

I don't own a Ferrari and I have no idea who's good and who's not, but John Pogson would get my vote purely for his love of the first and best mid-engined V8!
