Afternoon all,

Having just purchased my F430 one of the initial jobs I’m keen to do is to swap the exhaust manifolds for the TopSpeed tubular ones to try get away from problems that could occur with the standard manifolds and cats degrading, the thourght of fragments of metal getting into my engine scares me a little. However my car currently has a 430 GTC exhaust system on it, that includes back box and outlet pipes. So to try combat the added noise of the tubular manifold I’m looking to go back to the standard exhaust back box and outlet pipes with the valves in (I’m also keen to put back on the original tips)

The back box itself seems easy enough to find however the outlet pipes are proving a little tricky, I would ideally like to find a second hand set rather than paying the Ferrari tax premium at the dealer. Would anyone happen to have any for sale or perhaps know any one who has some for sale? Also does the 430 GTC Tubi back box I currently have on my car hold much value? Can’t find many for sale so struggling to decide if it’s worth selling of keeping hold of.

Many thanks
Sam

Just a few notes for fitting the manifolds...

1. Check the flange of the new manifolds with a straight edge. I've seen loads that have warped.
2. If any of the studs pull out put new ones in (they're less than £1 each)
3. Use new nuts (I fit brass ones as they'll never corrode)
4. If any of the studs snap don't panic - they drill out very easily with a left handed drill bit.

In addition to the above, be prepared for lots of cursing whilst trying to remove a few the manifold bolts. The ones on the pax side are particularly tricky :-)
If you haven't already done so, try to find online vids on the best way to tackle them. :-)
