I was on line earlier looking to see if any of these were available for sale second hand but sadly nothing came up.

Any views on these cars from the stacks of petrolheads here about whether they might be soon or whether they will command silly prices?

Thanks

unlikely to be for sale often as by way of aquiring them you have to be extremely wealthy and commited to Ferrari and therefore have no real incentive to sell for a profit.

saying that, situations do change and if you really wanted one and have the right connections/enough cash then it's possible to prize one from an owner (i'm aware of a couple of people who've ordered both a pista and the pilota)

good luck!

How many UK Pilotas are there likely to be and in fact have any even been delivered yet ?

My dealer is getting 5 that I’m aware of. None have been delivered as yet. They’ve only had my Pista Coupe arrive so far. Seems to be a slow start to deliveries.

5 is quite a lot for one dealer I guess that is London? I wonder if they will be rarer than the standard pista or not

I'm sure I read somewhere that there would be only a few hundred Pilota compared with a few thousand Pista

Midlands dealer. They received about 25-30 Pista Coupes and a handful of Spiders from what I’ve heard.

Given you supposedly need to do a full season of 488 challenge to qualify.....i think one can reasonably assume this one is going to be waaay rare than the standard pista or even aperta.

Thanks for the responses

My new 488 challenge car arrives in a couple of weeks and the Pista order is also secured smile

So should I do the Piloti version or standard?

Pilota, absolute no brainer.

The Piloti will probably be worth more. Looks wise I would prefer a standard car though without the huge flag

Anyone heard if Pistas are still available to order?

Check with your dealer in the morning - but these were never to order - in theory the only possibility is to take over an existing allocation - it is not (yet) like previous late sequence cars (eg Scud etc) where a late production run suddenly became available

I’m guessing that’s why Andy74b has a 488 challenge car now to qualify for it
