There is a huge discussion on PH in the Porsche section about the impact that GPF is having on Porsche GT products. I haven’t seen anything in connection with GPF on Ferraris. I have a Portofino on order (delayed due to paint) and I am wondering if it will be delivered with a GPF and if so, will the power and/or noise be strangled compared to the original launch cars.

Any thoughts or knowledge?

Not really an issue with Turbo cars as any losses cab be easily mitigated with increasing boost or larger turbines..The new gen R8 and Huracan Evo have had power increases despite the fitment of GPFs.
The only cars which i believe will have an unavoidable power decrease will be optimally and maxed out NA engines. An example is the 991.2GT3 RS where i've heard the GPF is causing a 20HP deficit.
I see no problems with Ferraris but that's just my guesswork..

Perhaps Ferrari get an exemption currently for being an SVM (under 10 000 cars per year)

A bit off thread but interested to note OP's Portofino delayed due paint as I am in the same position due to problems (which I do not fully understand) with Rosso Portofino paint. Surprised there has been no discussion re this on PH as there is a several page thread running on Ferrari Chat. OP - do you know how long a delay you are expecting as I am told somewhere about six months from original date, unless I change colour, and I'm seriously unhappy.

Yes, Both F and McLaren get an exemption. Lambo/Porsche/Maserati cannot due to their holding structures. I think the problem is more about exhaust note. If you have chance to compare MY18 and MY19 Maserati exhaust note, even from v6 , you can tell the huge difference. I will be very interested in how Lambo deals with GPF for EVO.

I am also waiting on Rosso Portofino. I ordered in May 2018 with a promise of Oct/Nov build/delivery. In about September I was told that it was delayed until April 2019 or I had to change paint colour. I decided to wait but still no confirmation of a delivery date. I expect April will just come and go with no car!
