I don't really have more to add than the title to this query!

430 is a much better car. F1 on 430 is fantastic and I'd have one over a manual any day. I would rather have a 355 manual then a 360

360 is the ferrari equivalent of the Porsche 964 - ugly duckling now, but will soon be appreciated for what it really is...

I've had both an F1 360 (with CS gearbox mod) and F1 430 spyder.

Would pick the 360 any day of the week. What a car. Not quite as fast but I fell in love with it. Mine had F430 wheels and some other CS pieces and think it looked better than the F430 did.

Agree- had a 360 for a while (drove a few 430’s) then owned a 599. Ended up rebuying my previous 360- just something about it- sleeker lines particularly at the back v the 430 and totally usable power. Clearly 599 a much better quicker car etc but didn’t grab me like the 360 did

It really comes down to you - you really should drive one of each.

Personally, I can't stand the regular F1, and I don't like the 360. I'd probably suffer the F1 to get the overall better car in the 430, though.

I think the 360 esp with a few CS parts like the front bumper and mirrors has aged much better than the 430 in terms of looks
I’d pick the manual over the F1 if deciding between 2 Ferraris (and I currently own 2 non-manual ones and no manual .... which is unfortunate, would rather have either car with a manual but wasn’t an option)

It's a good time to buy a manual Ferrari, values have softened in the past 4-6 weeks and you can get into a low mileage 360 or 430 for 20-30k less than earlier this year. Personally I'd be looking at the 360. I've owned an F1 for the past few years and I'm looking for the right manual at the moment.

360 manual

The manual in the 430 looks like an afterthought

I always use to say buy manual. However, having spent a lot of time with a paddleshift Aston and 458 im now completely sold on paddles ... to the extent that I dont like driving a manual now, so much so I wouldnt buy a modern supercar that wasn't paddle. If you haven't driven an F1 before, be prepared to not like it start with!

For me the 430F1 is the car to buy. Drives really well, fast, pretty reliable (save manifolds), good F1 box (of the old school F1's) and I prefer the looks (I think it looks more modern and more aggressive than 360). Ive owned a 360 and driven several 430's. Ultimately I decided to jump to 458 from the 360. Massive improvement in every way, but also a considerable price difference.

All subjective of course. If you can, get out and have a nice long test drive in both!

If you can get a manual 360 now for £20-30k less than you could 6 months ago, that's a tad more than "softened".

Yes, I was being somewhat tongue in cheek with that comment. Manuals are now the price of an equivalent F1 earlier in the year. Mine has depreciated more than I expected, but the jump across to a manual now is significantly less that it was.

This looks a good buy BTW.

Reminds me of why I never bought a 360. Ugly cars imho. After the 355 it just looked all wrong and the front end just reminded me of a boat. 430 improved things a little and the 458 brought ferrari back

So no one should buy a 360 because you don't like them? confused

I said I think it's ugly and that I wouldn't be interested in having one. Everybody else can do what they like. I think it's worth it for the OP to know that there are people that don't like them. If it's just me then he's good come resale. If there are lots of people like me then he'll be paying a silly premium right now and might lose a chunk when he sells on.

just my personal opinion, but having been in both it would have to be the F430 all day.
