Would be interested in knowing if this is a good spec or not. Looks good and I like it but does it have the "must have" options.

Racing Seats in Carbon Fibre, Carbon Fibre Front Wing, Scuderia Ferrari Shields, Carbon Fibre Sill Cover, 20 Diamond Sport Wheel Rim, Satellite Navigation System, Carbon Fibre Driver Zone+Steering Wheel with LEDs, Carbon Fibre Upper Tunnel, Rosso Corsa brake Calipers, Carbon Fibre Sport Package, Coloured Safety Belts, Leather and Alcantara Interior, iPod Installation, Rear & Front Parking Sensors, Sport Sill Cover, Yellow Rev Counter, Colour Upon Request For Special Stitching.

Car is red but I've seen a black one I like with similar spec to above but the front wing things in the bumper aren't carbon.

Decent spec, I didn't have front lift but didn't need it in two years of ownership...coped fine with speed bumps if taken slowly. Eurotunnel was no problem either.

Black is a great colour but is pig to keep clean.

Noticed it doesn't say it but I'll ask the dealership. It's not a thing I use that often on the lambo, as I don't really do that much town/city driving where there is speed bumps or multi storey car parks to negotiate.

do the 458's racing seats still come in tree different sizes as per 430 ?
lovely option, but the wrong size could reduce who'll buy it next...

Very rarely use front lift in the UK but abroad it is a godsend for getting into or out off some underground car parks at hotels etc.

sobering, but unless you tightly control supply, half list price after tree years is very average for most cars

Don't need it. Pointless extra weight. As you know I've taken my 458 Spider all over Europe many times, never needed it. F12 has been all over Europe too and has lift, think I've used it twice and even then probably didn't need to. I live in North Yorkshire though so do very little city driving so can't comment on driving in London etc.

Thought you where turning Irish or do you have a fetish for wood ?

@_leg_ As you live in the same area as me does it cope with the exit at the BP station at Bilborough (McDonalds side) without lift ?

For some people it will be necessary eg steep garage or driveway access and also if you are in town driving with some large speed bumps it takes the stress out of potentially scraping your front spoiler.
Personally I wouldn't buy one without it, equally so on a McLaren or Lambo

Never needed lift on 458, even going over speed bumps. If you have a particularly bad drive or like driving in multi-storeys I guess it could be a problem.

Regards the spec - it looks decent, above average, but how much is the car? Obviously if it's £250k then it's not so good.

CF seats - I've never personally seen them specced as anything other than "Large", which are perfect (again imo).

Don't think I've been in there in my Ferraris but as the Lotus Club meet at The Buckles every month I have been in there in my Exige 350 Sport and that's running on Nitron 3 way adjustable suspension so is quite low. No problems.

@ Rambo regarding speed bumps, do people really slow down, raise the suspension and then straddle the bumps? It's takes forever. I just slow down and go over the bump with one wheel.

Never you mind

Thanks. I use that a lot so it's good to know that I don't need lift to get out of it.

If I see RI I'll get him to buy a beer for you smile Sure he will be happy if I get rid of the Lambo as I am sure the cold start noise annoys C biggrin

Oh P.S

Where you talking to chap with a Wolsely/Triumph Vitesse a few weeks ago at a petrol station?

Had mine 2.5 years and never had a scrape, never used the lift either and my driveway caused me a lot of issues with a DB9!!!

Front lift is not important IMHO.

I could have been. I talk to so many people about cars in so many places I haven't a clue. I really should go back to work, I must've bored half of Europe to death by now.
