Chaps and Chapettes

Noob with a wild imagination, but VERY limited mechanical knowledge here. Not sure if it has been asked, but couldn't find anything in the search.

I've heard that the older F1 transmissions shifts weren't that hot, but by the time Ferrari got to the 430 Scud and Superfast2 they had wildly improved.

I'm not sure about the electricals, but does the transmission have a separate TCM? If not, then it doesn't matter, but if there is, is there anything to stop a Superfast2 TCM from a Scud being retro-fitted to a 355 or 360?

Have a search for Challenge Stradale TCU and ECU replacements on the Ferrari Forums. I think the TCU is a straight swap, but you'd have to check. If you can pick up secondhand ECUs they can flashed and installed. You could also get an upgraded F1 pump and the Scudding Swiss relay. Don't think it will be cheap all in though.

SF2 has a different box where the actuator moves diagonally to cut the corners off the H.

You can upgrade the 360 one as above with either a late 360 model or CS TCU.

430 improvements are marginal.

355 isn’t possible. Well I’m sure it has to be with some bespoke engineering/software but I’ve never seen anyone try.

TBH I went from an early 360 to a CS TCU and it does improve it but for me it was marginally

My advice would be if you haven’t already, try one and make sure it is set-up properly and in good health before thinking of upgrading.

Fair enough. Just an idea I had knocking around in my head which I thought I'd actually ask.
