Scuderia Wing Mirror
Discussion
I have just had the passenger wing mirror repaired by carbonfibrerepair.com, who did a great job, and while refitting I have created a couple of problems for myself that I am seeking help with:
1) I have dropped two mirror securing nuts while trying to locate them. They have fallen into the door but I cannot locate them. There seems to be a small section within the door that is sealed, running down the inside front and I wanted to know if recovery of screws from this location is possible and if so how?
2) I have managed to short the mirror motor and now neither driver or passenger side will work. I have tried to locate the fuse using the standard F430 fuse detail but no fuses seem to be faulty. Is there a fuse I cannot locate and if so what number is it and where is it? If it is not the fuse could it be a relay, again if so which one. If not a fuse or a relay what else could have failed?
Many thanks

There's a small cavity in the mirror area of the door that is sealed by a malleable but firm black open cell foam wedged in to seal it from the lower door. If you are lucky the fittings are in there, but you may well end up removing the door card and opening the inner weather seal to find them inside the door.
The fuse is behind the driver seat (RHD car). Remove the lower trim panel and behind are three black fuse/relay boxes. Remove the cover from the box closest to the centre of the car which will reveal 20 micro fuses arranged with their narrow side facing upwards. Looking at the fuses, the one you need is on the right hand row in the middle i.e. two fuses above it, and town below. There's a 10a immediately above it and a 30a below it.

Thanks for this feedback and the help.
Things sometimes are just not so easy.
1) Below the black foam there is a cavity that cannot be accessed from anywhere other then the small holes throigth which you use tools to fasten the mirror in place. The only way to retreive the nut, screw and two wahsres has been to ask a freindly vet if he could help me with his steerable optical light pipe with grasp tools. I tried a non-steerable version and could locate the items but my light pipe only has a magnet and the fixings are not magnetic UPDATE - having used the endoscope there is a hole at the botton of the cavity but the screws did not fall to exit at this point. This hole can be used to retrieve them but it is not obvious that there is a hole and you will need something (like a hook) to pull them out once you have located the hole. You will need to remove the inner weather seal of the door to get at it.
2) The 20amp fuse did not blow - rather the printed circuit in inside the mirror switch took the load and it rather than the fuxze 'blew' The new switch from Ferrari is £147 + VAT, from other sources (genuine Ferrari) £114 + VAT, second hand £60 + VAT
Some useful advice from me having now done this --- make sure you cannot drop the fixings. This might be hard but getting the items back is dreadful. Secondly, the damage caused to the switch was because on my first attempt I did not drop any fixings but I did trap one of the mirror wires while fastening the mirror, shorting it and causing the damage to the switch. It's hard to see the wires but a phone torch or similar really helps.
Again thanks for the help
