Just finished watching The People Vs OJ Simpson on Netflix.
Great dramatisation.
Prompted me to look more into the case, and stumbled across some interior pics of his Brentwood house. One is driving me a bit mad, can’t identift a car in his garage.
Anyone any ideas? Testarossa?

I spent a lot of time over there during the time the case was on TV and no one was working just watching it every day..there was a lot of info about every single aspect of this case at the time, this was before the internet and reality TV!
OJ had a Testarossa and a Bentley (which he went to McDonalds in with Kato Kaelin on the night of the murders, part of his flimsy alibi). Also a Bronco, though the infamous Bronco in the chase belonged to his friend Al Cowlings (identical cars).
Nicole had a Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet in white that was still hers at the time of the murders, I think it was part of the divorce settlement.

Oh and if you really want to understand the case and how the prosecution f***ed up such an open and shut case I recommend you read the book by the late Vincent Bugliosi.
He was the prosecutor in the Charles Manson murders and he effectively tried the OJ murders as a cold case. It really is eye opening how a good lawyer who wasn't just out for publicity could have had this nailed to rights quickly.

I had totally forgotten about this but after this thread I remembered Mr Bugliosi did a series of VHS videos re-litigating the entire trial. And a quick Youtube search reveals this. You may need to watch over a week or two, but well worth it. This man was a fantastic prosecutor and it is basically a case study in how to conduct a murder trial, OJ got very lucky he wasn't prosecuted by Mr B.
This does bring back memories of my time in California. The trial was an absolute obsession with everyone at the time.

Nicole's white Mondial was on e bay not so long ago - can't remember if it sold or not
What happened to the Juice's Testarossa ?
The trial was compelling viewing I remember watching it for many weeks and months and having long discussions in the office
Still a number of unanswered questions about the case maybe the book will hold the key

I think you'll enjoy the book and these videos. There was not much left unanswered by these. What happened to the Juice's Testarossa ?

Primarily the prosecution did some very dumb things such as not admitting all the evidence including an eyewitness who saw OJ driving away from the murder scene because Marcia Clark didn't like her. The mind boggles...

That car is Chassis No. #73489 and had nothing to do with OJ Simpson or Nicole Simpson in any way shape or form - Nicole Simpson owned Chassis No, #59667 (as verified by legal documents released after her death)The guy selling #73489 came up with all manner of clues, information and "evidence" over a number of years, to link his car to Nicole Simpson, eventually convincing someone to buy it, believing it to be Nicole's car, but the new owner later discovered that they had been duped.
If you've got plenty of spare time, you can read the whole sorry story here: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/nicole-s...
As it stands, no one knows where Nicole's Mondial ( #59667 ) is now, but there is a suspicion it may have been written off in an accident.

Hadn't seen that thread in years but do remember the guy talking up his Mondi as being Nicole's. With the rarity of that combination I guess there was a 1 in 3 or so chance of his being right. Wasn't there an evidence sticker too which I assume he added to embellish the story? The guy selling #73489 came up with all manner of clues, information and "evidence" over a number of years, to link his car to Nicole Simpson, eventually convincing someone to buy it, believing it to be Nicole's car, but the new owner later discovered that they had been duped.

I know the assets were tied up for years, OJ's because of legal fees and bankruptcies in the civil case the family won (Rockingham was eventually demolished) but who knows where her car went.

It was a clever little tale told over @ 3 years, gradually adding a bit more information each time, with various people suggesting possible, plausible links to it being Nicole's car, without actually declaring that it was.I know the assets were tied up for years, OJ's because of legal fees and bankruptcies in the civil case the family won (Rockingham was eventually demolished) but who knows where her car went.

There was a yellow, plaintiff's evidence sticker on a Mondial owners manual, that the seller's father "just happened to find", that was suggested as being another link to Nicole. It backfired slightly though because it was supposed to be evidence in a case to decide who the car belonged to after Nicole's death (OJ or Nicole's family) - The problem was, the car had been legally sold 2 or 3 years earlier, so the owners manual would have been completely irrelevant in any legal case at that time.
Eventually, legal documents that had been written up just after Nicole's death were released that listed her personal belongings, including details about her white Mondial - Complete with the chassis number, that was completely different to the one being offered for sale.
As for Nicole's actual car, there was an unspecified car-fax alert flagged up against the car a few years back, suggesting it had possibly been in an accident and may have been scrapped off, but no one knows for sure.
$15 would put an end to speculation as to the Mondy's whereabouts

Personally speaking, I wouldn't pay 10 cents for information on the car because I don't really care about it.https://www.vincheckup.com/vin-register?year=1986&...
I don't think a Mondial once owned by Nicole Simpson is worth any more than any other similar spec Mondial (and looking at the lack of buyers every time the fake Nicole car went up for sale, it seems that nobody else thought it was worth paying over the odds for either)
OJ's Testarossa? - That might be worth more to an American buyer, but again not to me, it's just another Testarossa as far I'm concerned.

Indeed and probably a negative as it would have languished around for a couple of years while he was in the clink during the trialI don't think a Mondial once owned by Nicole Simpson is worth any more than any other similar spec Mondial (and looking at the lack of buyers every time the fake Nicole car went up for sale, it seems that nobody else thought it was worth paying over the odds for either)
