I am lucky enough to have a 355 and a 456, unfortunately I have 2 kids under 5 and I just don’t get the time to really drive either..... I also worry about someone dinking them etc when they are left parked, hence I am wondering whether to sell up. I never thought I would want to sell either but am now wondering what the point is keeping them as I have the downside of keeping them up but without much pleasure in driving them.... wondering whether I might not be better buying something a bit more practical that I wouldn’t worry about instead... 997 for instance.... I guess now might be a good time to sell the 355?

Sort of went through the same thing with a 458...
How about buying something to use on track plus another sports car? I went for an S1 Elise, shared with a friend so costs are halved...track as much as we can and its a complete blast! The search to find a track car is great fun too, then the modifications start....
Already had a Gen II 997 which is a brilliant car....easily fast enough and capable enough for the road.
Buy a good low mileage one and you can't really go wrong. A real sweet spot in the Porsche range over the last 20 yrs..old enough to have some proper steering feel but with new enough tech to not feel short changed.
Probably the best thing car-related I've ever done. Even more fun to share with a mate as well.

I had a 997 but it really wasn't viable for children in back. OK for very short journeys like 10 mins round the corner but that's about it really. Boot is small at front too so getting a decent buggy in was challenging
I chopped it for a Maserati Granturismo which is a lot better as the back is big. It is not as special as a Ferarri but sits nicely above the 997 and the looks & soundtrack that you love in your present cars, do map over well. The GT Engine has some commonality with the 430 lump and the sound track and free-reving nature are pretty epic
It is not a sports car to drive in any way so I got a cheapo 987S Boxster to cover that off which is pretty unbeatable for £10k
