Hi,

Long story short - after a very short battle with cancer my father passed away in January this year.

Back in 2005 he helped me to buy my first Ferrari - a F355 in Le Mans blue with crema RHD Manual car.

As time went on I sold it for another Ferrari a 550 and regretted it.

I did loads of road trips with him in it and and would like to know its where abouts as I would like to buy it back if the owner were willing or to keep in touch with it if not. It was a 95/96 car and its number plate when I owned it was N567 XFJ which has now been changed.

I wondered if anyone might know its whereabouts or who owns it now?

Hopefully

Sorry to hear of the loss of your father and best of luck with your search.
Lost my mum in 2007 and dad in 2012.

Sorry about your loss. Suggest a PM to Mr Tremlett is a good bet, if he doesn’t pop along soon. Best of luck in finding it.

I'm here!

I don't know the current owner. It was living in the Newbury area but I have reason to believe it changed hands 18 months ago although it currently shows as SORNed and doesn't seem to have been MOTed since October 2015. I won't post the current reg here but PM me if you need it or the chassis number etc.

Jonathan

Andy, I have replied to your PM, but it just occurred to me that I think (might be mistaken) that your car was subsequently owned by Mario149 on here so you might try dropping him a PM too if he doesn't pop in here and tell me I'm talking nonsense.

Hi Jonathan,
thanks for that - I really appreciate it, I've dropped Mario149 a pm and hope to hear from him shortly

That must of been a terrible period, words can't describe it.
What my situation highlighted with me is that I can't put up with hearing people moaning about petty things anymore, after losing your parents everything else seems less important and all I can say is 'time helps' but obviously don't never fully heal.
Just bought myself a 2003 Maserati Spyder, not a Ferrari I know but lovely car nonetheless and today looks like the first decent day I'll be able to use it properly.
Best of luck with the search.

HI Raygun,

thanks for your kind words, it has been an awful period, nearly though it just the funeral service this Friday...

Hope you enjoy your Maser - they are great cars....

I am in contact with the chap who now owns my old car, going to see in in the next couple of weeks, the good news is he will sell it,
the bad news is he has really seriously priced it ... £30k - £35k over what he paid for it 12 months ago....

Will let you know how I get on and thanks everyone for helping put me in touch no matter what happens....

As Richard Rawlings says sentimental value adds money! He knows you want it, it’s just a case of seeing how much you’re prepared to pay

I'm pleased to hear you found your original 355, and whilst everyone is entitled to set their own price to sell an item they own, I hope you can agree on a rate that is inline with market conditions and not someone pulling on the emotional sentiment.

Best of luck!
