430 Scuderia or 458 Speciale?
Discussion
I've only been a passenger in both cars and both felt equally special but in different ways.
Also regarding residuals, the 430 dropped and then bounced back, the 458 has held pretty solid since launch.
What would you choose and why?
I'd also be interested to know experiences from people that have owned both.
I'm swaying towards the 458 already to be honest.

430 Scuderia for the sublime F1 superfast II gearbox which for me is the pinnacle of DCT gearboxes and suits the car so well. Perfect balance of speed and engagement for a track based car. Wish I still had mine and far rarer than a 458 Speciale and for that reason a sound investment at todays prices around £100k less than 458
Well, have only driven the Scud for about 3k km before having to put it into winter hibernation ... no winter tyres. But the box certainly seems a lot more entertaining than the DCT box in the FF, still no manual though. So from a gearbox perspective I personally would probably prefer the Scud over the Spec, the Spec looks much better though imo. As posted above Scud is probably rarer, not sure if that should be factored in though. If I had the funds I would have probably gone for the Spec, but they seem rather expensive to me.
Do love the fact that there are no LCD screens in the interior (I prefer the look, but also the hopefully lower future repair bills, on the interior)
Am not loving the fact that a clutch costs c 6k euros and is prone to have to be replaced regaularly when living in a city and therefore no option to avoid traffic on way in/out
And am not loving that Ferrari never got winter tyres approved for it (not sure if they did on the Spec)
As an aside, it certainly is too fast for country roads imo. Need a 355 Challenge in my life

Yeah sorry meant single clutch. DCT's today are almost too good and you lose the changing gear sensation. F1 Superfast II is fast and you still get the sensation of a gear change rather than just the seamless power change most cars have now
Possibly the most positive post ever from LamboRambo The Scuderia sounds better, is more raw / connected, less refined, has a more aggressive and stimulating gearchange and therefore overall is just more fun.
P.S. I am a Speciale owner but unlike most forum tts I tell it like it is rather than justifying my possessions and sniffing around on a daily basis for reinforcement

Lol. I don't think it's my only positive or most positive post but the scud does deserve a special mention even if I still don't own one sadly. In hindsight I should of kept it as well.If only I had the money and space

an opinion is an opinion though and not necessarily based on self beneficial motivations P.S. I am a Speciale owner but unlike most forum tts I tell it like it is rather than justifying my possessions and sniffing around on a daily basis for reinforcement

Curious? Assuming you don't own a Scud, why own a Speciale? Why haven't you sold the 458S and pocketed the difference? P.S. I am a Speciale owner but unlike most forum tts I tell it like it is rather than justifying my possessions and sniffing around on a daily basis for reinforcement

I have a Speciale but have been looking at 360CS's for sale for the last few weeks. Not driven the 360CS or Scud
There appear to be a lot less RHD of these available than Scuds and I'd prefer one mainly because of the more analogue nature versus the Scud - which I'm sure is a great car anyway. Not sure at all on pricing for either but a lot of the 430Scuds have hung around for a lot longer than the 360CS brought to market from my limited observations

Used to own a Scud. Moved into a Speciale because I aint gettin any younger and the extra refinement and slight lack of aggression actually suits my needs better now.I feel the Speciale is due a bit of a price correction. Would like one they are just too many... went to Romans at the weekend and couldn't move for seeing one. Just look on the classfieds and there are tons available, with some there I recognise from months ago.
I'm personally going to wait until the new 488 GTO (or whatever) comes out and see if people get over the "last of the naturally aspirated" thing.
