Challenge Stradale tyre sizes
Discussion
Official size:
225/35/19 84Y and 285/35/19 99Y
mind you i run Michelin Cup2 on 235/35/19 and 285/35/19 - so slightly wider in the front as 225 dont exist for the Strad
note: hard find the "original" Pirelli PZero Corsa System anymore ("AO" for Ferrari on Pirelli)

Thanks. So what would you fit now? Are the Cup 2 the best of the Cups?225/35/19 84Y and 285/35/19 99Y

Correct: at the moment Michelin's best is Sport Cup 2 (but front won't be original size, need to jump to 235) - i've had them at Spa and Silverstone and they behave wellQuite a few people recommend the new Pilot Super Sport...and available in the original size (i.e. front 225)
Got Cup2.

They are fantastic and look great too.

Just about to pull the trigger on some new tyres for my Strad.
With regard to the sizes, best to go for standard or the slighty wider 235?
The car is never used on track, only for Scotland and Euro trips so the tyre does need to behave in the rain as well.
Any good deals around at the moment?
I assume MICHELIN Pilot Sport Cup 2 is still the way to go...

Yes Cup2's are fine, they don't do 225 for front, but 235's go on just fine. With regard to the sizes, best to go for standard or the slighty wider 235?

I fitted Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and have just completed a 3400km road trip through Alps, Italy, France, Pyrenees. The tires behaved impeccably in conditions ranging from freezing to 30 degrees in sun, torrential rain and, snow.
We were really pressing on, especially in the mountains, to the extent that my mates rear tyres on his 996 GT3 Mk2, which were new on for the trip, ended up like this!

Small world, was staying at the same place as you guys I think - I parked my 997 GTS next to the 2 Porkers at Vielha Parador and was pleased to see a CS parked up too. I’m back to the UK next week so looking forward to getting the CS out for a trip down to Donington in 12 June.

Small world indeed! Yes that was us. We left at 6am. We ended up at Bilbao and got the boat back. The CS was perfect for the trip - more comfortable than I thought it would be and the roads were so good everywhere.Small world, was staying at the same place as you guys I think - I parked my 997 GTS next to the 2 Porkers at Vielha Parador and was pleased to see a CS parked up too.
