F430 Coupe carbon seats
Discussion
I'm looking for a F430 coupe with the carbon seats.
I don't get on with the standard/daytona seats and I'm not considering any of the cars for sale with these seats as I know how expensive the carbon seats are to buy separately.
I just wondered if anyone was running aftermarket seats that are similar to the carbon seats but without the hefty price tag? And if so could you point me in the right direction! Thanks.

I've got a pair of carbon / tan Cobra Misano's sitting in the garage.
They need a good clean up but looking to offload them.
I had them in the 355 for a few years but had to revert to the original squashy seats after my hip replacement.
I remeber seeing your car/seats at Paul's place (I think that was your car anyway) - they looked lovely as did the car overallThey need a good clean up but looking to offload them.

Cant help with locating seats, but I would agree the carbon seats are worth having, I have done 9hrs of driving in a day across europe in them and they were fantastic - I've heard a lot of people complain of back pain with the standard seats. mine are 'large' but i've only ever seen one car for sale with anything else (medium) which must be quite small as the large is perfect for me at 5'11" and 75kg. i beleive sparco made the ferrari seats, so they are probably similar to something like the sparco R600.
I have a couple of cars with recaro SPG seats and Sparco race seats - perhaps a little 'race car' but very comfortable - particularly the recaros. I've done trips to italy and back in both seats and they have been very supportive.
The recaro pole-position is a 'road' version of the SPG, a bit wider, softer padding and less 'bucket' to get in to - you can get them with fabric or leather trim

I know neither the car nor the dealer but it looks lovely and those seats are special. Two observations though; how does such a wonderful driver's car go through five owners yet only have 17k miles on it - not necessarily a problem but just amazes me, and secondly the WAIT message on the radio indicates the incorrect code has been entered too many times so make sure they have the correct radio code card somewhere. BTW afaik you have to hold down the TP button until Becker appears in the display and then turn the right dial two clicks until a number appears. Then provide that number to Ferrari to get the correct radio code from them.

If you wear jeans often (or your passengers do) i'd be wary of the light colored leather. Have a friend with a 458 in that combo and the seat bases have a blue tint now... another friend with a bmw with light coloured leather has beach towels on them most of the time! There's a couple of cars for sale currently...

Hate all theses adverts nowadays - How can buying at a peak be a "good investment" ? I can remember when they couldn't sell the same car 2 years ago at £75k with less mileage .
Mass produced regular car which at 12 years old is close to new list price MADNESS IMHO
I hate you constantly going on and on and on and on about how its such a bad time to buy in every F430 thread even if the title is about something totally else!Mass produced regular car which at 12 years old is close to new list price MADNESS IMHO

+1 Every bloody time.Nothing wrong with a F430, owned a 2009 spider back in the day and a scuderia latterly. Whats wrong IMHO is the current prices and those looking to buy into a stalling market at its peak should at least be aware of the potential downside. Its a neutral unbiased honest opinion as opposed to those of rose tinted owners

I have to admit this comment " I should be thanked for my public service " did make my laugh out loud.Rather than be berated I should be thanked for my public service
Bottom line is your entitled your opinion, but maybe just post it once a day, in a topic titled such as "Should I buy an F430 now", or something like that - not one about Carbon Seats

do you honestly believe that?
Yep sure do. No grudge to bear with Ferrari or a F430 and neither a owner or seller of said car so its my honest opinion of the market for this car.If they were such a great car and investment I could buy the best one out there on the market tomorrow for cash but I don't see the value

heres a thought, why don't you keep your "honest opinion" off the internet or at the very least every 430 thread that gets startedon PH because no-one else cares about what you think, you're just spoiling it for the rest of usIf they were such a great car and investment I could buy the best one out there on the market tomorrow for cash but I don't see the value
