Due to my car not been ready for the season and already having an entry for Shelsley Walsh next weekend they have allowed me to change my entry for the Speciale. Quite looking forward to it as it will refresh my memory for when i return later in the season in the championship.
I know the Ferrari Owners Club run their own championship but has anyone on here competed and what did you think ?

This reply is probably not going to worth anything to you. But that 458 Speciale is stunning!

What's the fastest you've been in it? A figure that would be legal on the internet? smile
The photo was taken in the drive next to the guesthouse just down the road from the Nurburgring. So managed a quick run not far off its official top speed on the Autobahn wink

Hi Andy,

I have and enjoyed it very much. A good crowd and the organised hotels and socials are well worth attending.

Driving the car to the event and just putting race numbers on is a far cry from the faff of loading/unloading trailers.

I've no time to compete this year or perhaps next but will come back to it again

Enjoy

^this^

It's a good way into motorsport and you can discover more about yourself and the car, without the chance of another competitor swapping paint or front wings with you smile

I have been entering into some sprints with my speciale. It's a riot and a relatively safe environment. Surprisingly quick to, not far off my caterham r500, and only really beaten by decent track only cars and single seaters. Struggles to get away cleanly is it's biggest handicap. Here is some fun at blyton last year, and a few others on my YouTube channel if you take a look. Did snetterton earlier in the year aswell. I've just entered an airfield sprint at kendrew next weekend, nice safe environment just need lots of duct tape on the arches for any grit is the only concern with airfields. Car has ppf anyway.
