Advertised prices have remained fairly flat for ages now but a lot of cars have sat unsold so I'm sure there are deals to be done.
Have they bottomed out - NO. Is a price correction overdue on most Ferrari's - YES
This price bubble cant go on indefinitely so tread with care if entering the market on the peak of a wave

I bought mine two years ago, having decided that I wasn't going to second guess the market and just wanted to drive. So bear in mind that any time you spend wondering about it is time you aren't driving one.
But I do agree that it seems that prices are quite high - mine has actually gone up in value I think, bizarrely, if you believe advertised prices. Will the price level utterly collapse? I don't think so. But I think people have got used to surprisingly low levels of depreciation on Ferrari's and it would be reasonable to factor at least more normal levels of depreciation in.

Very sensible, well said that man. its easy to get carried away when you have a vested interest in the prices going up.But I do agree that it seems that prices are quite high - mine has actually gone up in value I think, bizarrely, if you believe advertised prices. We are going to see more 488's on the market and the differential to McLarens and Lamborghini prices will at least keep Ferrari prices in check.
You have done well to buy in the right timing cycle. The last 2 Ferrari's I had have both gone up £30k since I sold them
Agreed good times never last.
As the man above says buy to drive not speculate
I remember someone telling me off for buying a 360 in silver and how he had waited t get his perfect spec! 2 years later and having looked at 10 plus cars- I said get a life for god sake ! You only live once just get on and do it

With respect that "dip" into the £150k range is up on the year prior.
A quick check on Patina (price tracker), with 2500 datapoints, suggests the 458 UK average price has grown roughly +2% in the past 3 years, +8% in the past 1 year, but fallen -6% in the past 6 months, and dipped -2% in the past 1 month.Prices for the 458 are definitely coming off the boil. Whether that is a Winter lull, or a downtrend caused by 488 pressures, is open to debate. Time will tell.
As above, the OP should just buy one, and worry about prices later. Supercars are for fun, not finance.
Thanks managed to get out of my 964 Turbo and F355 and BMW CSL a while ago after good gains .
Agree prices are falling in the models that have risen strongly , just did not see the 458 in that catergory .
Appreciate all the comments and will be on the look out for one over the next few months .

458s have been pretty solid for the last couple of years, On spiders Definitely an uptick for low mileage cars vs last year. Not huge but circa 10k. And they are selling I am told
Gap to 488 price, lack of 488 spider availability and possibly last NA cache
Mclarens may be better but they leave me cold. Don't know why

Yes I was just scratching my head! they are definitely up on last year for similar cars. I had been studying the market to buy one and even dealers are less flexible due to shortage of good stock. One major F dealer told me they are having to pay more so can't be flexible on priceRamboLambo said:

Could being the operative word but in reality they have not seen the price hikes that Ferraris have enjoyed. Quite the opposite the depreciation was severe from day 1 with the MP4 12c launch debacle so there was an OVERreaction downwards. As can be seen from early MP4 12C prices now they have bottomed out and bouncing back.
With new aspirational product still coming, like 720S the brand and demand for their cars is growing rapidly and early 12c/650S production is obviously now capped.
On this forum alone the number of buyers of 12C/650 has increased dramatically in the last 24 months
I'm sure I don't need to give you an economics lesson on over demand versus limited supply so IMHO early McLaren prices could buck the market trend and actually increase. Certainly wont tumble though

Guys just ignore him (rl) he spends more time in the Ferrari forum then the McLaren forum that in itself screams 'help'.
He's Ferrari envy consumes him and it funny to watch but ruins real Ferrari topics.
Mods you should really do something about him but you probably won't.
Anyway back to the Ferrari thread...the 458 is epic and I strongly recommend one 9000rpm NA what's not to like.
