I'm waiting for two rear shock absorbers to arrive from Italy and keep being told that the parts are on their way and are coming by road! It's been over two weeks and still no sign of parts arriving! Anyone know WTF this is all about or is it just the dealer fobbing me off? For starters Eurospares have these available from stock and even if they were on their way by road surely the delivery can be tracked in this day and age!?

Anyone else ever experienced this "parts are coming by road" story from a dealer!?

Been that way for a few years now, any parts containing fluids, fuel system related (exc. dry filters etc) and any explosive parts related to airbags, pretensioners or similar all go by road.

Yes still poor how long it takes and the lack or an accurate ETA but its the factory rather than the dealer I'm afraid!

I have had the same issue re shocks on two different cars. In one case the dealer was getting really pissed off because Ferrari had charged them for the parts even though they were still in transit and so couldn't be fitted to the car so the dealer couldn't charge me.

Seems well strange IMHO. Parts loaded on to a lorry, are on route to the UK - how long can it take and why can't it be tracked redface

Does seem odd, 2 bloody weeks especially with the number of worldwide shipping/haulage companies out there.
Did you pay for a premium service shipping wise, or standard delivery?

Bit different I know but I used to leave the UK on a Monday morning in an articulated wagon, do 3 drops in and 'around' Milan, (as far as Florence), 2 or 3 pick up same areas and be back in the UK Saturday lunchtime.
