I'm in the market for a F430 and this one is tempting. I'm looking at the bottom end of the market but even at this level prices are still high, so I want to make sure I get a good one. I have had a TVR Cerbera and a few Alfa's before so I'm used to the labour of love and I'm handy with a spanner! I had a Granturismo a while back and loved it, and always wanted a F430.

I would suggest a thorough inspection as the dealers advert wording doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.

+1 - what a daft advert shouting in capital letters! Not that he spent £12k on the ceramics as he didn't spec the car new lol

If your looking in the Midlands for a 430 have a look at the black 430 at Proctors cars in Derbyshire. I bought my 360 from them along with a few other cars and they look after people very well. Have seen the 430 up close and is a nice example and a lot lower mileage for not much more £

I completely agree with 458man and cgt2 - Even before reading their comments, I thought, I wouldn't trust the wording in this ad one inch!

Don't forget, £77k is still a lot of money, you need to get this right.

Aside from the 47k mileage, I'd avoid this one like the plague!

Wait until November (rumoured to be the best time to buy) and you'll get a far better car for similar money.

I wish you all the best with your purchase.

Cheers for the help all, I will hold out for a better deal later in the year. I'm based up in Aberdeen so the further north the better to be honest.

You might want to check out Voicey's price data before you assume that to be correct - they suggest if there is any price drop at that time of year it is a very very short small blip in an upward trend

What a terrible advert! He also says the chains were replaced, not heard of that needing done before..

I'm looking for a 430 F1 but wouldn't consider one from a dealer like this. I'd ideally buy privately if one came up for sale.

Talk to main dealers about their stock. A friend has looked at all that are on the market and the dealers' cars are generally worth the premium. Cars out there are clocked, have been painted in odd places. It seems difficult to be able to buy a decent car that isn't at a main dealer.

Correct. And many that end up at specialists have usually been rejected by Main Dealers for one reason or another.

With some hard negotiating in the present market there is no reason the main dealer should be that much more expensive anyway.

WHY ALL THE SHOUTING.

As others have said, avoid. I'm not a fan of the colour change on the wheels either.

Also, if he works in the trade then why did he need to spent £1700 on a detail. That's an awful lot, I'd have thought someone in the trade would have contacts to get it done at a discounted rate.
Not only that but just how bad of a state was it in to need £1700 of detailing.
