If you haven't got some already you should buy skid plates! It saved my F355 front number the other day!
The skid plates and Capristo exhaust best things you can buy for 355
Are they visible and do you have to drill the bumper to fit them? The skid plates and Capristo exhaust best things you can buy for 355
I when the skid plates arrived from Hills the package contained some fairly chunky fixing bolts. I decided to use double sided tape (as others have suggested) rather than drilling through the bodywork. The skid plates are sacrificial in my opinion. If you rip them off on a low speed hump and they're fixed to the bodywork with those 8 bolts you're going to tear a massive hole in the underside of your car. The other benefit is that I didn't need to remove the front bumper to drill the 8 holes.

Not sure how mine were fitted, but that's definitely a valid point. My 2p....
Yes they can be seen (just) when fitted, I opted for the black polythene as their less noticeable.
They reduce the already low clearance by appx 8mm, the thickness of the plate.
They come with M8 CSK screws so some 8.5mm holes require drilling in the bumper (unless taped on as said here) the bumper does not require removal to fit the screws.
I suspect if you were going to lose the bumper due to the screws being fitted then it will be toast anyway.
Yes they are a sacrificial part IMO.
Am I happy with mine, Yes.
Chris.
