what are the alternative manifolds for F430

Just a vote for Capristo.
I have full system (including manifolds) on my Porsche and visited the Capristo HQ to have everything fitted. Had a tour from Antonio (Capristo) and was blown away by the staff commitment and attention to detail on the exhaust systems and carbon parts. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

The best you can get is Supersprint. The price reflects this. You are tied to SS cats if taking this option as they found an oversize entry to the cat yeilded more power.
Somewhere in the middle are the Agency Power manifolds. They are a very good compromise of performance and price. There's no real need to spend more than this unless you really want more power (very much diminishing returns past this point, for headers alone at least).
The cheapest is Top Speed - functional, unleaash a considerable amount of power, and sound good. Not equal length so not optimal for performance, but still a world away from the stock rubbish. Very good VFM.
Whatever you choose get them coated, and ideally add blankets.

Many threads on this, basically if you don't buy stock they're all crazy loud and hard to live with, be warned, I had AP racing and removed them and went back to stock.
I have repaired my stock manifolds that had a crack in the standard weak point at the 2 into 1 junction, wrapped them and been happy ever since, each time I start up I have the chance to check for air leaks before they heat up and to listen for a ticking sound which suggests another crack.
Make sure you don't fall in to the trap of pre cat failure, thats is a grossly misleading subject and utter rubbish with zero evidence, repairing stock manifolds is now standard stuff in the UK and the stock sound can not be beaten to date.

I've recently fitted Nouvalari manifolds, absolutely delighted with them, British made and a nice rich tone, they are a little bit louder, but that's what I wanted.
Excellent service too, I needed them quickly and they didn't have any on the shelf, they dropped everything to make them quick and sent them straight to the garage for fitting.

I have AP headers (bought them from Vivid Racing in the US and had them shipped over before the Brexit pound crash). When the valves open, it is very loud. I fitted the Kline exhaust to give the exhaust more 'note' rather than the sonic boom that came out of the back. This quietens down the exhaust overall and gives it the F1 pitch when you really step on it. I also have a valve controller for times when I drive through tunnels. Bought the Kline from Ramair in the UK.
AP and Fabspeed headers are supposed to be similar in build. My APs are ceramic coated to help with heat.

I don't get wanting to make the car louder. The only place you can really push these cars to and beyond their limit is on the track. Stock already restricts you to 105db days, going louder will restrict you altogether. Or do you never intend to really push the car?
99.9% of 430's don't go on track you can still enjoy them on the road and part of the appeal is the lovely sound, although I do agree that headers etc generally make ferraris over the top loud

As for third part manifolds etc I fall into the camp where OEM remains the best option. Cracks can be fixed easily enough and don't present any greater risk. The pre-cat failure is vastly overblown and not worth factoring in, if you are really concerned then buy challenge headers which don't have them and are cheaper.

I would still encourage everyone to take their car somewhere like Silverstone where - with an instructor in the passenger seat - you can properly experience what they are capable of.

I guess most people are apprehensive about crashing/having someone crash into them on track or others (like me) have separate dedicated track cars

Yup - it's just the header/manifold that is required. See this page at Eurospares https://www.eurospares.co.uk/parts/ferrari/430-cha... - part 001 is what you want (left and right of course) - £1,275 per side as opposed to the regular (with pre-cat) part here https://www.eurospares.co.uk/parts/ferrari/430-cou... for £1,709.I have rarely tracked my but last month I did so and loved it, very hard to throw a 430 off the track imho, use the manetino and gain confidence, I spent the afternoon driving mine like a clip from TopGear, sideways!!, so needed to go all driver aids off, but that was after a morning of going through the manetino, with experience you can feel the driver aids working away behind the scenes when you're on what you think is the edge, they are wonderful cars on track and road driving doesn't come close, nor should it for public safety reasons if nothing else !!
i have the A P Manifolds (coated) and Capristo brackets on my Spider for over 2 years now (from Vivid Racing USA), with no problems. They are louder but they do release more power with a cleaner crisper pick up. I was at the best (in my opinion) Ferrari independant in Bedford about 2 weeks ago and there was a 430 in there with the engine on the bench, one side with the head stripped off with indents in the top of the pistons due to ingestion of the pre-cat material. I felt the dents on top of the Pistons on this bank with my finger, some have stated that this is an overrated problem but not in my book. So that is an engine out strip down, new valves and seats and rebuild that adds up to a few bob in anybodies language, a needless waste of money when this problem is well known. My original manifolds were not leaking, (they are now in my loft) but I just could not take the risk. For peace of mind get them changed.
Out of interest how much were the nouvarlari manifolds ?
