458 brake pads

I had the car serviced last week. The dealer told me the pads were down to 1mm all round. I'm having the tyres changed today so took a look at the pads. They all look fine to me or am I missing something ?

could be they mean 1mm from wear indicator wires usually located just less than half the pad?

What about the inner pad also?

Inside pads look the same as the one in the picture.

Hmm. Well as you rightly point out, there's plenty left on those pads. Comment re wear indicators is also valid though.

Just curious how many miles on the car ?

It can't be 1mm or the discs would be toast. There are metal retaining pins that protrude about 4.5mm into the pad and although they are soft metal, they still score the discs quite badly.

27,000 kms. I bought it used at 12,000. No idea if it had a set of pads before then.
