Hi,

I bought a 355 from Germany and im trying to register it here in the UK.

Im now at the process of filling in the application for first vehicle tax/registration which asks for a lot of particular information. Ferrari offer a certificate of conformity with all the info but its about £1000. Is there anyway else?

According to previous threads most of the boxes don't need filling in & DVLA can be quite helpful advising which by phone - this might help too http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=158...

Great thanks for the replies. Just sent it off without the CoC. Let's see...

You shouldn't need a COC, I brought my 550 in 2 years ago and it went straight through. I called the DVLA and was told to leave most of the form blank !!

No news yet frown sent the form off with half it blank which seems to be acceptable.

out of curiosity, how much cheaper is it to buy a left hooker from abroad rather than buy a uk car?

Maybe 5-10k after all expenses to get the car in the uk and registered. Flying out and driving it back on temp plates was fun also.

I bought a 2003/4 Murcielago from France - I did not need a CoC.
