Had a black F430 Spider before and thought the car was decent enough but absolutely hated all the attention when driving around. Love the 458s and want to get one, but are there any colours that fly under the radar a bit? I know it's never going to blend in like an AMG can, but anyone found some good colours that don't get quite as many looks as red yellow etc?

If you have had a 430 before in the nondescript black and you hated the attention you got then.
For the life of me i cant think of another colour that is even more nondescript than black, but now you want an even more attention grabbing 458?! wink

Not sure if a Ferrari will ever not stand out (unless its a 4 seater model)

I saw a Grigio Silverstone 458 - looked lovely , not in your face (red or yellow) or mean attitude black

never seen a TDF blue one in the metal, but again a less of a "statement" colour ??

Mine's black and so far nothing but positive attention. It does get looked at quite a lot but many do seem to miss it when driving through say a high street. I have been a passenger in a red one and no one missed that - was bended necks everywhere!

I expect the spec on the 430 I had made it stand out more too. Black scuderia wheels and yellow callipers.

So a standard black 458 might be better... Though i know it's never going to blend in of course. The Grey looks great, wonder if there's any difference? Main thing Is not red I suppose!

For me it's more the stance of the car than the colour which attracts my attention i.e. abnormally low and wide (in a good way).

Apart from yellow remaining factory colours receive similar attention....suggesting its not the colour but the car. The 'subdued' Grigio Tit I ran a couple of years back was quite a magnet unfortunately

A 458 is always going to stand out man.
Black, silver or grey is your only hope or you could say fk it and go yellow rofl

A 430 in Argento Nurburging attracts just as much attention as one in Rosso, Giallo, Nero ... they're F cars, they get attention. Get used to it or maybe get something else, like a Porsche.
In the UK both my white 991 GT3 and red GT4 unfortunately receive more attention than the G Tit 458. But perhaps in a better way.

laugh yeah it was the yellow calipers that did it, or maybe the carbon bits on the dash!

you chose black which is as nondescript as it gets after maybe grey

if you don't want to be looked at don't drive a Ferrari with a big shouty Ferrari exhaust smile

Totally agree, it's not just the colour, it's the stance, aerodynamics, noise, etc. There is inevitably a bit of a trade-off between looking discrete and being fun to drive, and seems to me that a 458 in even a quiet colour is not the sweet spot if it's discretion you're after.

I'd suggest instead:
- one of the 4-seat Ferraris like a 456 or 612
- a super-barge like a Bentley Mulsanne Turbo
- a barking Gti like a Lancia Integrale or Sierra Cosworth.
- a less well known super-car like a McClaren, Noble, or Lotus Exige.

Actually I wouldn't. I'd buy the 458 in whatever colour you like, and if you want discretion, stick on some sunglasses.

Always found my tdF 550 and 575 were the least noticed Ferrari's I'd owned, tbd the Yellow 458 is a bit shout smile

Don't be so selfish, let others enjoy looking at your car too!

I think a much quieter exhaust will do more to reduce unwanted attention than any colour.
