Brilliant? I must be missing something.
As an F car owner I totally relate to all his witty comments about the haters...I'm sure many others would agree too. Your previous posts all seem very cynical so completely understand why you won't like what he is saying Edited by 458man on Monday 25th April 18:28

You've been through my previous posts and they are ALL very cynical are they? Utter nonsense.
People being envious/jealous of nice cars is not a new story, so I didn't see much in the article that merited the use of the word brilliant.

Funnily enough he has written exactly the opposite in the past about how you are much more likely to be let out at junctions in a Ferrari. As it happens, in my 16+ years of Ferrari ownership that has been my experience. Never take anything he says or writes too seriously.
Jonathan
I agree with you - I've not had any issues so far about being let out of junctions but pretty much everything else he says sums F car ownership nicely Jonathan

Yep, i can relate 100% to the negativity a ferrari can receive. All he was saying about his experiance i have expereanced over the 13 years of ownership., it made me smile.
This nasty trait seems to be a very British thing. On the other hand when i am any were else in Europe, its an all together better story.
This is some thing else Clarkson once said many years ago in a topgear magazine artical.
When a guy in the USA sees a guy in a ferrari, he thinks, " one day i will be in one of those".
When a guy in the UK sees a guy in a ferrari, he thinks, " one day i will have him out of that".
Hey Clarksons words not mine

Why do they bother with this sort of stuff, its just the same old repetitive rubbish?
Porsche had the right idea with the 918 - let potential customers drive the car but don't waste time in letting journalists do reviews as no potential buyer cares what they say
Porsche were also smart enough to realise that letting a journalist drive a car before a potential customer would just annoy the hell out of them
IMO Lamborghini made a horrendous mistake and did lasting damage to the brand last year in letting the press test drive the SV but not to invite customers who had ordered it - whats more the car was sold out so why did they even bother?
I was recently over at Ferrari and was talking to one of their marketing guys who agreed with this and thought that in the near future they would stop doing magazine/paper reviews and would just allow customer test drives and then rely on social media
Clarkson/Harris/Top Gear/Evo etc etc all had their place years ago but the world has changed and sportscar firms will ditch them all shortly

I agree with this but even worse is the current trend for favouring immature Youtube presenters who do more harm to the image of supercar ownership than they do to enhance it.Clarkson/Harris/Top Gear/Evo etc etc all had their place years ago but the world has changed and sportscar firms will ditch them all shortly
Now there really is a lot of repetitive rubbish, without a very large vocabulary either so watching any one of those videos feels like a perpetual groundhog day..
Yeah, think most know Clarkson may speal repetitive rubbish and the same old same old. And yet the link is clicked and you read it already knowing what to expect.
Further more once his new car show is on line, wingers will still watch it and when they have will complain after how its repetitive and old hat and out dated.
Without these kind of reviews and tv programs, how else is joe public to hear about these cars. God knows it wont be from potentual owners who have been invited to test the cars, they will be to busy in there own self importance and glory.
When top gear was on, the average joe who isnt fortunate enough to ever own supercars, will watch topgear for the exiting and at times childish supercar reviews.

Sounds like a terrible idea!Clarkson/Harris/Top Gear/Evo etc etc all had their place years ago but the world has changed and sportscar firms will ditch them all shortly
Who wants to hear from the owner about how great his new car is without any reference to what else is available as competition.
