How long to set up a clutch in a F1 360?

How long am I looking at for to set up my clutch to find its biting point as it seems to be slipping, especially noticeable when setting off on an incline when cold. Just after a rough idea?

I asked a similar question about the labour following a TCU swap and was told about an hour. The fact the clutch is slow to feed in (particularly when cold) is not unusual, especially for the early cars.

It could take anything from 1 hour to 6+ hours depending on a number of things, most importantly what TCU version you have.

In that case you have the better TCU so it is easy* to set up but to get it biting properly it needs to be set under a range of conditions and that takes time. It also depends on the condition of the clutch, flywheel and release bearing.

As Aldous has said, all of the above are factors. It often takes longer than an hour because not very many people set them up correctly on initial instal, which means faffing about with clutch thickness settings as well as setting PIS. Then sometimes there are other underlying issues, such as internal leaks, sticking release bearings etc to contend with. A rough ballpark diagnosis should take an hour but budget between an hour and six if it isn't a straightforward setup...
