I get a very annoying whistle noise coming from the passenger side window when driving over 80mph - below this no issue at all. The dealer has told me they are unable to road test above 70mph so are unable to diagnose and cure! Any ideas? This is a car I picked up last month from a main dealer!

Don't break the speed limit, problem solved. tongue out

What model 458 - Italia or Spider?

Have you been able to localise it to anywhere specific around the window?

Bit of a cop out from your dealer but I suppose they can't be expected to break the law or take the car to a track to diagnose a fault.

Italia.......It's the top right hand corner. I'm not talking about driving over 80MPH on public roads but more track use wink

Not sure what to suggest really, will see if I can get mine out to see what mine sounds like at similar speeds. Is it literally the case that it's not there at all at 70mph, but is intrusive at 80mph?

Don't know about the window seal on mine but I get a really irritating whine coming from the passenger side when 'pressing on' - I just tell her to shut up!

Over on Fchat there's a few similar reports - some say new seal - some say put the window up&down at low/no speed to reseal it

I've read about the same issue on other US forums. Have now had the dealer agree to book the car in to have a closer look so will update you when I know more!

had this on all of my frameless door cars above certain speeds (Z3 M Coupe, 355 and FF), although never at speeds as low as 80 mph - usually opening and closing the window and sometimes door a few times will solve it.

What did they do? Mine does it at 85mph (on private roads).
