Hi There,
Just got the Carcoon Veloce for my 355 and am trying to attach the "permanent" lead for the trickle charger, so I don't have to use the Croc clips and keep taking off the panel in the engine compartment. I have worked out I can attach the -ve loop to where the middle screw on the panel which covers the +ve terminal, however where have people attached the positive loop? If I lift up the + sign casing then there are 3 bolts on there but all 3 of them are too big for the +ve loop on the wire.. I suppose I could loosen one of them and slide the loop under before tightening it but it doesn't look a particularly robust solution. I would rather have the loop going all the way over the bolt so it doesn't come off (as it is designed to do clearly) but that is not possible

How have other people done it? Photos would be useful if possible

Tx

Thanks very much. Thought about changing the loop but think would end up as weak link and break. Cutting the loop is a great shout tho. Must say v impressed by Carcoon.

You need an appropriately sized (probably M8 or M6) ring crimp terminal - dead easy to snip the old one off and crimp the new one on.

Yeah I upgraded the eyelet size with a new crimp. However more recently I have discovered CTEK make proper alternative connecters with larger eyelets if your charger is a CTEK?

I attached mine to the battery and have the cable coming up behind the headlight. Does mean having to take the wheelarch liner off to get access.
