348 Servicing in the southwest
Discussion
Hi, I've just purchased a Ferrari 348 in the last couple of months and am looking for somewhere to get it serviced and some repairs carried out. I have been in touch with a couple of main dealers but am reluctant to use them as I have had bad experiences in the past. Are there any specialists in or around Devon. Im new to this and the Ferrari world (being a Porsche man) so any help would be appreciated.
Enjoy the car - you need to remember that there's ten times as many Porsches as Ferraris and as a result there are big chunks of the country that cannot sustain a Ferrari specialist even though the Maserati connection is helping - there's an ad in Auto Italia for someone round the back of Carrs http://www.ftechengineering.co.uk/about-ftech
Hi all, thank you so much for your help. I have decided to book the 348 into Ftech engineering in Exeter as Emblem are at least 2 hours further east and I live west of Exeter.
After doing some background checks on Ftech I finally called and had a long chat with the technical director Dan, It was obvious that his experience on the product was very in-depth and made me feel comfortable and able to carry out the work. I will report back with an update once the work has been carried out.
Thank you all.

I might try ftechengineering this time - he's just moved to Marsh Barton and now (I gather) got all the diagnostic kit for the more modern cars.
The hardest thing was actually finding them as their web presence appeared to be hosted by ninja web services, although I've just checked this morning and it appears pretty easily now. I see they also do a sales service which could be handy, as now we have the Z4M the Maser hardly ever comes out so I'm thinking of moving it on and really it is below what Carrs usually deal in.

Hi all, here is an update as promised, I took my 348 to Ftech (www.ftechengineering.co.uk) for a service and a few other bits.
The guys there were fantastic, I was well looked after by front of house and my car was well looked after in the workshop. Both Tim and Dan really know there stuff. Dan walked me around the vehicle showing me any faults found and gave me detailed explanations where necessary. Its wonderful to see two enthusiastic guys offering an amazing service in the southwest. Highly recommended.
